Bought both sized packing cubes for my trip to Mexico in February, packed them already to test them out. Has great material to keep water and odours out, and can fit tons of stuff with how it compresses my clothes thus saving room in my bag as well. Highly recommend.
I love the packing cubes! I am a huge fan of packing this way. I use the medium and small cube to store my equipment even when I am not traveling. So I am all ready to grab and go. The only thing I would add to the design is a business card slot on the top.
As someone who is obsessed with one bag travel, these cubes are perfect. You can fit a lot more clothes in these cubes than you think, especially if you roll/fold strategically. Material is extremely stretchy.
These cubes may be twice as expensive as cheaper cubes, but they are 10 times better! I bought the medium one first and loved it so much that I got the small too.
The packing cubes are great little bags on their own. They can be packed empty and then used at your destination to transport/carry your gear. It was a great purchase.
The PD is my third and probably final brand of packing cube. First, the budget one I've used felt bulky and too large for travelling light. Second, an established brand ultralight cube set was great until it started falling apart at the zipper seams and zipper pull.
Although not the lightest of cubes, PD cubes give me confidence that it will endure stuffing the cube with out it falling apart. The attention to detail is where it really sets it apart. The separate pocket for used clothing keeps from having another cube/bag to carry. The zipper pulls are easy to grab and pull with minimal effort. The design compromise I have is the easy open tabs; they're definitely convenient, however, doesn't full seal the cube closed. I can live with that compromise.
These packing cubes are bomber. Tough as but light and spacious. The separate dirty clothes section is fantastic and the compression makes a huge difference. The zips seem solid. Overall these are the best available packing cubes. Kudos Peak Design.
When I saw these on my boyfriend's Christmas list, I was really skeptical. Seemed pretty pricey for packing cubes... I got him both sizes and we LOVE them. It's really impressive how much you can fit in them. We went on a 5 day trip down the coast and fit his jeans, shorts, and two tees as well as my (albeit petite) shorts and tops for the whole trip all in the small cube. We plan on getting the small and medium cubes for our parents (who are less minimalistic but were equally impressed)
