Wanted to like it but didn’t

There are some really cool things with this bag. I like the magnetic closures they are really handy especially if you are in an airport where you open and close repeatedly and may forget a zipper open.
The main flaw for me was the design, I felt the bah too deep and the opening not wide enough. I had PeakDesign toiletries bag in there and only glasses, phone, travel documents in the outside pocket. Still the bag was bulging and it was hard to actually use it comfortably. Placing things in the outside pockets meant the opening was even smaller than it is. It’s same shame as this would have had a lot of potential.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

A really great daily commuter in NYC.

I'm 5'4" 150 lbs, and use this bag on my daily commute. In addition to the standard phone, wallet, keys,I pack a 10 iPad w/ keyboard. In the 3 compartments are a 12oz SS bottle, lunch, and the field pouch with cables, makeup, and sundries. Occasionally I bring my Dell XPS 13. Everything fits beautifully, and is easily accessible. The shoulder straps are great and don't dig in even on the heavier days, the messenger carry is very convenient when walking longer distances, and hand carry is beautiful because the bag doesn't hit the floor even for someone as short as me. I've always been partial to backpacks because shoulder carry bags were always painful by the end of the day. I moved to this bag from the Boundary Supply Errant backpack, and prior to that I used the Peak Everyday Backpack 20L and honestly this tote fits the same amount of gear even though its smaller. I highly recommend this bag, its clean, functional and professional.

Good but shoulder strap could be better

I like this bag. Very good quality, adequate capacity for laptop and misc stuff.
However, I dropped 2 stars as the shoulder strap is simply too short to wear it comfortably. I am 5 feet 8 and when using the shoulder strap, it sits very high, hence not that comfortable at all.
I feedback to Customer Service but they cannot do anything about it. So I had to resort to using another shoulder strap to use the bag.

Love My New Bag!

I had the gen 1 Peak Design Tote, but it was very bulky. Gen 2 is so much better!!! It looks like a big hobo type bag, and I really love the new design. I have a place for all of my stuff. I use it as my every day purse. I don't carry a camera, but if I did it would fit in here. I got mine in Bone, and it is just stunning. I really like that there is a dedicated pocked for my glasses, and another one for my phone...sooooo many awesome and versatile pockets!!! You cannot go wrong with this bag!!!!

A Must Have Bag

I bought this bag so I wouldn't have to always take a backpack and I am happy I did. This bag is comfortable to carry, convenient to get into and it will carry my full frame camera with a lens attached and another 100-400 lens + accessories and misc items. I wanted something that looked like a hobo bag but still large enough and protective too. I have several peak camera straps, The capture and clip, and a range pouch so I looked to Peak Design for the same quality and I was not disappointed. This bag will go everywhere with me.

Pragmatic and Fashionable at its Best

Love at first sight with this bag - After years of trying and hating purses, I decided to buy a backpack. Fast forward to lugging a huge pack around town for literal miles, a sweaty back, and weird faces from friends when I show up to the bar with my backpack…
Oh yeah, and the self-shame when I found a way to wedge my a7riii into the backpack and pray it’s safe.
Now, to Peak Design’s Everyday Tote: LOVE at first sight. Weather resistant material, built-in camera storage, portable, and fashionable? What’s not to love.
All of the frustrations I’ve had the past few months finding a solution to transporting both camera gear and personal belongings is solved.
Thanks for another winner!
I would recommend this to a friend!

stylish camera bag for every settings

i love bringing camera everywhere i go, but one thing that i don't like about camera bags is they scream dorky and serious. esp when u're a woman, it's hard to find something that u can wear with anything n bring anywhere whether it's a business meeting at the office or hanging out w friends at the bar. most camera bags just don't have women in mind when they design the aesthetics. this one does. u'll look good in any settings.
the bag is large n sturdy in every sides. it maintains it shapes n won't fall even if the load is light or empty. keep in mind tho u cant collapse the wall to make the bag thinner. the feature that i love the most is the magnetic clasp. super useful n quick. it make sense that the V2 doesn't have a quick access on the sides like the V1 because it's already a sling bag n the top access magnetic clasp is much more quicker n safer for this type of bag.
keep in mind tho, this isn't the bag if u're looking for a full fledged camera bag where u can bring ur drones n whatnot. no. as the name suggests, it's an everyday bag. it's most useful for casual daily use or small gigs where u don't need to store a lot of equipments. usually my heaviest load is a caged full frame lumix s1, 2 small vintage primes, a couple of lav mics, a shotgun mic, n a recorder. the bag hasn't reached its max capacity yet w that load, but more than that is too heavy for my shoulder. if i need to bring more gear i use my pelican anyway.
the only downside for me is if u store a laptop, the bag becomes cramped and the wall stiffen. i got a very thin 13" ultrabook n it still cramps the bag. the two outside pockets are useful, but i would've loved if they're made deeper.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Camera Bag

I bought the black version to carry my new Canon EOS-R mirrorless and lenses as my old bag was a bit larger than needed with the switch to mirrorless. Love it so far. Everything fits well and I really appreciated the adaptable dividers that I can configure as needed and also the extra external carry straps that make it possible to secure my tripod to the bottom of the bag when needed. The fabric is easy to wipe clean and as someone who likes to travel, I appreciate that the design is reasonably inconspicuous and it mostly looks like an average tote bag.
The one thing I’d change is the length of the cross body strap — it’s pretty short even when fully extended. I’m 5’9” and I’d really like if it were 6-8 inches longer, so I’m thinking if you’re taller than me, you’d find it too short as well. The only other feature I’d like is a slightly oversized business card size window pocket inside near the top of the main compartment to allow me to slide one of my cards in for easy luggage ID.
