Very attractive and very functional. Two items:
1. I don't see an option to adjust the lighting inside. It's rather dim other than the back panel.
2. The water pitcher leaks a little from the front dispenser and I just ordered a replacement filter.

perfect for coffee lovers

I've owned this fridge now for 4 months when it first came out. I have complements every time someone comes to my place. I don't mind paying for the quality and style but the brass handles are pretty pricey. I love the pitcher inside so there isn't water dripping down the front of the fridge or a messy water catch under the ice dispenser . the pitcher is perfect for refilling water bottles and coffee makers which is 90% of what I need water for and the ice maker is still pretty convent to get to in the freezer . I is a little less in space than the kitchenmaid full depth I came from but is all I need and helps me keep the inside clean and leftover eaten and thrown away
I would recommend this to a friend!

Poor Interior LIghting

This is a great refrigerator/freezer. Quality construction, quiet, versatile shelving, love the Deli Drawer. But---the refrigerator section shelves need better lighting. It is very dark inside when you open the doors. The gray interior side walls do not reflect light. The back panel lighting looks cool, but lighting the back of the food is not helpful. The light above the doors when opened that illuminates the front of the drawers is nice but, very again little light shines on the food inside. Getting a midnight snack in the dark is frustrating when you can't see the food well and have to turn on the kitchen lights. A real drawback that was not evident or referred to in the product description or by the dealer.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Love it!

We replaced a 21 year old side by side built-in with the 23 cu. ft. Cafe French door with pull out freezer and convertible temp drawer (which we keep cheese and sandwich meats and use to slowly defrost meat). It’s a big change but we love the flexibility of shelves and the width in the refrigerator and quickly got used to the bottom freezer, which also provides a lot of flexibility with two pull-out shelves. Icemaker works great and the auto-fill water pitcher is terrific when making coffee or tea. Even though our old built-in had a greater capacity, the french-door style allows for for more efficient use of space so we don’t notice it. Temps throughout seem perfect. And the black finish and backlit interior is so cool, we love the look. The only drawback I’ve noticed is there isn’t any lighting in the freezer, but since it’s a pull-out drawer that’s not too much of an issue because the kitchen lighting is usually sufficient. Only had for three weeks so I don’t know how energy efficient it but I’ll bet it’s more efficient than our old one.

Excellent capacity and shelving design

This refrigerator is absolutely beautiful. We just finished building our dream home and I can’t think of another product I’d rather have than the café model appliances. We were able to purchase this refrigerator as well the double oven, dishwasher and the microwave. We love all of them, but the refrigerator in particular we really like, the inside of the refrigerator is very well laid out. The shelving is extremely well designed the capacity allows for ample supply of all our favorite foods. We are grateful for the opportunity that we had to purchase this product.

Unit does not cool

Got the new frig, will not cool, what a mistake it was buying this piece of junk. GE you should be ashamed of yourselves, how could this unit pass and end of line test?

Soft Freeze not so much

The product is pretty but the definition of soft freeze should have a list of caveats, so buyer be ware that many things won’t stay solid at 23 degrees, the service tech just left and said anything with sugar won’t stay in solid state. So keeping ice cream wont work it turns it into a liquid, bananas don’t stay solid if already frozen. So be cautious what you want to use this drawer for. Relabel it from soft freeze to somewhat solid

We want to help go over the use of the soft freeze option included with your model. For storing ice cream, we recommend using the freezer, which is set at 0 degrees F. However, we do suggest using the soft freeze drawer when getting close to serving ice cream, as it helps reduce the temperature and soften the ice cream. This goes for other soft serve items as well.
