Perfect party tool when paired with the PartyBox

The PartyLight Stick is very well-made and designed to match the aesthetics of the PartyBox speaker. It looks very sleek and modern, while still being very light to carry around easily. It looks elevated as the bottom of the stick is not fully connected to the panel/stand. The circular stand makes the stick look futuristic and minimalistic. The bottom of the stick also produces light, and the continuous illumination delivers a light show that almost goes on the ground. Therefore, in addition to the actual stick, even the bottom of the stick is very engaging and a part of the light show. When paired with the PartyBox speaker, they present a consistent image. I really enjoy having them side by side and enhancing the party/vibes. The stick produces a powerful light show, filling an entire room or backyard, even in the daylight. It is effortless to set up and put away, making it very convenient for storing it safely and saving space when it’s not in use. Simultaneously, that convenience allows the stick to be easily carried anywhere. As it comes with an 8-hour battery life, the stick can be paired and used with the PartyBox speaker at any location, indoors and outdoors.

Lighting Performance:
The stick produces an amazing light show with the PartyBox speaker. It is equipped with 183 RGB LEDs that provide stunning 360-degree illumination. The 360-degree illumination can be adjusted to 180-degrees in the app to save battery if the back side of the stick is not visible to the audience or the user prefers less illumination. There are many modes that produce various cool transitions, motions, and effects all throughout the playing audio. The stick syncs with the inner circle colors (infinity icon-like lights) of the PartyBox. It does a great job of keeping up with the beats and switching colors rapidly. However, in some cases, if the colors change on the speaker and the lights on the stick are already in motion, it does finish the full motion for half a second to match the lights on the speaker afterward. But overall, it’s not disturbing or a deal-breaker at all. It’s important to note that the performance of the stick fully depends on the performance of the JBL speaker. Moving on, I was surprised to see how well the stick keeps up with the speaker in some modes and color combinations. It perfectly matches the beat and light show on the speaker; like lighting engineers or VJ in concert venues or nightclubs. The stick serves as an extension to the speaker. Meaning, that whatever light show the speaker produces, it takes that and expands it on a bigger scale, significantly enhancing the quality of the party and energy. Because of their great size, weight, and connection to the speaker, the sticks have become essential for my setups. Although the PartyBox speaker already produces a stunning light show, the sticks take the experience to the next level. They’re not only stunning decorations but also electrifying tools to boost the energy of the crowd.

The application helps the stick’s performance significantly. It enables the user to easily customize colors and change modes very seamlessly. There are controls for speed and brightness as well and it makes the stick a lot more entertaining. In my opinion, the stick should be always used with the app to truly get the best out of the product.

The PartyLight Stick is an exceptional addition to the PartyBox speaker. It seamlessly amplifies the impact of the light show on the speaker and significantly increases the energy of the party. I would recommend this light over any other third-party lights in the market that are similar to the stick. It syncs with the speaker, is very well-made, customizable, compact, and matches the aesthetics of the speaker. In this case, the more the merrier. If a user pairs up at least 4 of these sticks, they can sync with each other for a choreographed light show. The stick can also be used as a decoration or ambient light for video content such as live-streaming DJ sets. As of now, I do not see any other lights performing better than the stick when paired with the PartyBox speakers. As I value visuals, lights, and effects in parties or gatherings, the JBL PartyLight Stick is a valuable asset to my party essentials.

Effortless Party Vibes

From the design to the minimal buttons and its main function, it's one of the cleanest JBL products I've seen. Super easy to use and put together—I didn't even read the instructions.
Plus, it works whether you're part of the PartyBox Ecosystem or not. The light picks up on ambient sound from any source and creates cool light effects! If you’re into hosting parties or get-togethers, this will definitely amp up the fun!

Good product but not very useful

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Partylight stick is a good product, but only one of those rare occasion when you need to light up the room for a party or an event. The best thing is that it can be synched to whatever music you're playing, but you need the app for it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Party Lights!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The JBL Party Lightstick is pretty cool - HOWEVER I did think it was a speaker. It is not - it is just lights. It does however sync with certain JBL products. I use my party lights with my JBL Party Box speaker. You can sync the lights with the beat of song! The lights are also very bright, so if you are someone who throws parties, gatherings, bbq’s, etc, these are pretty cool with other speakers like the party box. The lights are also pretty tall so they are very stand out to people that come over.

The light show provided by these sticks is impressive and adds a vibrant touch to any event! They emit rich colors that flow in sync with the PartyBox music in a chic fashion. This creates an immersive audio vibrant visual experience. Key features include full controllability via the JBL PartyBox app, making it easy and seamless to adjust settings. These sturdy sticks are balanced and do not sway if moved or bumped. They also provide Plenty of light in a large area to create the perfect ambiance to any gathering.

Just shy of hitting the mark.

We got a set of 4 of these to add to Friday night party night and the kids dance party’s! While the sticks are fun and do provide a light show it is a colossal disappointment they are not backwards compatible with the 310 series speakers or the 1000. We have a party box 100, a pair of the 310’s and a 1000 and it won’t sync with any of them. I wish they would do a software update to utilize the TWS feature to pair the light sticks. It would get 5 stars if the sticks were compatible with the slightly older versions of speakers. Yes it does have a microphone but it’s a complete contrast to the speakers lighting profile, almost to the extend that you need to turn off the speaker lights or it looks awkward.

Thanks for sharing your feedback. You can use our JBL PartyLight Sticks with older JBL PartyBox speakers. The built-in sound detection algorithm sync the light with the music from the speaker.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The brightness is something to behold really turns the vibes up for any party and even if you just use them in your house for ambient lighting. Love how the light reacts to music frequencies as well. Can change the light effect with the partybox app which is pretty intuitive to use. Have not seen any other competitors make a product like this of this quality. JBL has another homerun.
