Great Dew Option

I have been a Mountain Dew addict for DECADES. I saw a posting about the Sodastream Mtn Dew syrup around the same time regular, bottled Mtn Dew was out of stock at our local stores. After doing some research, I decided to give it a try.
I wanted to get away from High Fructose Corn Syrup, but Real Sugar Dew is no longer available. I was happy to see this syrup uses real sugar.
The taste: I expected a change in taste since I was getting away from HFCS. With the addition of sucralose and acesulfame potassium, there is a bit of "artificial sweetener" taste, but it's not that bad. With around 28% of the calories of regular Dew AND no HFCS... this comes out as a big win for me.

I’m a big MTN dew drinker. And let me tell ya. It tastes freaking goooooood!!!!! I recommend this to anyone who is a likes dew. It has the refreshing original dew taste.

Definite aftertaste like the sugar free version. Not a true substitute for the store bought bottles and cans.

This tastes pretty much like the original formula for Mt. Dew, or at least Diet Mt Dew. The combination of sugar and sucralose really masks that diet after bite pretty well, and I barely notice it. Still, I'm pretty sure sucralose screws up your memory and gut biome, and I hate that this was labeled as Mt. Dew, when it would more appropriately be labeled Diet Mt Dew. Please please please make a version that does not contain sucralose/splenda. I know the sugar is not much better, but it will not ruin my mind or body as quickly.

Why added sucralose?!

Relatively similar to the actual Mountain Dew soda taste, but with a horrible aftertaste. A closer look at the ingredient list shows that though the list starts with sugar, a few ingredients later is SUCRALOSE. Very disappointing - if I was after diet soda, I would have bought the Zero variation!

Does not contain sugar and is not the same taste as regular Mountain Dew. Notice the calories are about 1/3 of a normal serving. Don't know why they don't stress this fact.

Mt Dew tastes like Diet

This non-diet Mountain Dew syrup has sweetener in it - so it does NOT taste like regular Mountain Dew. It tastes exactly to me like Diet Mountain Dew. So, if you already like Diet Mt Dew, this is for you. I get that they're trying to decrease the amount of sugar in all our diets, as am I, but if I'm buying a soda replacement called "Mt Dew", I expect it to taste like it. I am sadly disappointed in this. You could purchase the actual Mt. Dew syrup, but that ends up costing as much or more than just buying the soda directly.
