Double up the capacity is a must. I’m running my backyard shed air conditioner. With the delta 2 max and extra battery. I do use ac charging to supplement my lack of solar production. I will be adding another battery and more solar panels later.

I bought the Delta 2 Max Extra Battery for many reasons. Super portability, powerful, high performance, reliable and affordable. This compliments the Delta 2 Max perfectly, and when connected, the Delta 2 Max is a true portable beast. With 4096Wh of power when connected to the Delta 2 Max, we have all the power we need and more. We use it for camping, at the beach, off grid parties, work sites, emergency power at home and much more. If you need power, and lots of it, this is the perfect duo, and the Extra battery makes it possible.
Why four stars? I wish that EcoFlow would have added DC outputs to make this truly a versatile extra battery. Without the Delta 2 Max, it is useless. Many other brands have added DC output capability to thier expansion batteries to add value and versatility. Come on EcoFlow, get with it, DC output would make this the absolute best out there.

Bought 2 of these to max out my Delta 2 Max. Primarily using it for peak shifting with expensive power in California. Works great and I have a ton of power at the end of the night.

I purchased the D2M SB to augment and double the storage capacity of my D2M and I think that was a wise decision. With the 2nd battery, the unit can keep either my refrigerator or a dedicated freezer running for over 2.5 days, close to 3. The only think I would like to see different would be for the SB to discharge first and a way to recharge it directly so it could be recharged while the D2M unit is still keeping the systems alive.
