They do not connect! Purchased 2 boxes of the longest length to create a full light look and realized they do not connect. I don't feel one strand would be long enough nor bright enough to fill a 9ft + tree. The amount of money you pay for these, I would expect more.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This has been by far my most favorite set of Christmas lights I have ever purchased. I only needed 100 feet of Christmas lights for a 6 foot Christmas tree. It’s fun to play with the colors. I really like that I did not have to have extension on extension to get my tree covered the way I like it.
