Excellent design and functionality - and yes, the 30L fits under the airplane seat.

PD does design right - the bag is beautiful, and functionality is excellent.
This is probably my 4th backpack, trying to find one that really does what I need. It seems like I may have found it! My travel bag the past few years has been the ThinkTank Airport Accelerator - also great, & it fits my monster old 500mm Nikon lens - but it is BIG. I have had trouble even with small overhead bins in airplanes with it - and then I have to check a roller bag with my actual clothes, or cheat an extra bin space.
I can tell you that the 30L size will fit as a carryon under the seat, and still hold what I need, and I shoot big DSLRs - not mirrorless rigs. (It will NOT fit the 500mm, so I'll be keeping the ThinkTank for if I need to travel with that one).
I just took my first trip with the bag, to Costa Rica, and was able to put a roller bag in the overhead, and my 30L Everyday bag with ALL the gear I needed under the seat in front, and not check anything. Which is how I like to fly. I carry big DSLRs - not mirrorless. I did miss 1 lens that did not make the cut, but that was an executive decision. For anyone interested, here's what all I packed, all in the 30L PD bag:

-D500 body w/battery grip
- Nikkor 300mm f4
- " " 70-200mm f2.8
- 1.4x TC
- PD Travel tripod
- Zoom H4N audio recorder
- Rode VideoPro mic

Most comfortable bag

This has the most comfortable shoulder straps I've ever used. It's highly adjustable; I don't get the "wobble". the side load zippers are very useful, I'm no longer digging all through my bag. The large bag isn't too large. I haven't flown with it yet, but it seems spacious enough for a 3-day trip. It holds my 15in macbook with a thick case in the slot easily. The one thing I would like to see is a side strap on the upper side of the bag to reinforce the slot for the travel tripod pocket. I would like to tie down tall items that stick out past the pocket. Overall, this is my new favorite bag!

Best backpack I ever bought!

I've heard about this backpack line (Everyday Backpack) since the v1 was out on the market. I probably heard about it on YouTube. I was always interested but there were some drawbacks on the previous design that kept me from committing to the purchase. After v2 was released, I watched some review videos and it was exactly what I was looking for. This version has several great improvements when compared with v1. It is literally the best backpack I have ever touched. The materials are premium and durable, the design is functional, and the backpack provides tons of flexibility for your stuff. I used everyday at work, on weekends and even during short trips! Great!

Stoked!!! Loving this bag so far. It's everything I expected and more. Perfect for carrying some camera gear as well as anything else you may need on your daily adventures. I can't recommend this bag enough!

Messenger-Like Workflow from A Backpack: Exactly What I Needed

My previous main camera bag was the V1 messenger, and over the years I have become dependent on rapidly swing a bag around my body to access gear. But messengers aren't comfortable on longer shoots, especially when lots of walking is involved. Really, they aren't even that comfortable for a day spent in airports. So I needed a backpack, but it's amazing how few allow side access. And of those that do, this PD bag is basically the only one with *full* side access. I'm not limited to pulling out just a camera body with whichever lens I'd attached in advance, I can also get to other lenses for swapping (and with practice, can use the open bag as a staging area for the swap). My current divider setup allows my camera and 4 lenses to live on the main access side of the bag, with space for 2 more lenses on the other side (and a headlamp, and chargers, and cables, and...). The "top" of the bag still has some space for non-photo stuff like a packable jacket, paper and pens, or snacks. The sleekness of the overall design does reduce the usable space a little, but the 20L size is enough for everything I'd normally need. My understanding is that the straps are much improved from V1, but they could still be a little better, and the dangling ends are a weird oversight from a brand that takes pains to solve those sorts of dumb little problems. Otherwise, there are so many great touches here; it's even possible to affix pouches and dividers from other PD bags, to expand options.

Great bag

This is a great bag but in my opinion there are a couple of things missing. The straps that hold items to the outside of the bag and the chest strap are very stiff and awkward to use (I've only had the bag for two weeks so maybe they'll loosen up). The inside side pockets are too small to be useful and I preferred V1 where there was a zip. The top opening has 4 different sizes but the biggest two are hard to use because of how stiff the lid of the bag is (again I think this will loosen with time.) I really wish it came with a hip belt given I bought it for hiking but I know that's a personal preference and you can buy a separate one. It can be difficult to find a good place to put the Capture Clip on the shoulder straps if you are tall like me so I would try a bag on before buying it. If this bag was 35L I think it would be the perfect size for hiking (with 3 zoom lenses, 2 bodies and hiking equipment). It only comes with 2 dividers but they are both the type with a shelf. It's a pretty awesome bag but not quite perfect for me.

Unlike many who buy this bag I'm not a photographer. I'm a student and that what I use it for.
Pros: very organized, the top mag latch is perfect for a quick access pocket, very well designed, very protective.
Cons: laptop compartment is tight if used for a laptop and tablet, quick access pocket in the laptop compartment is kind of useless with a laptop and tablet in it.

Great bag! (20 liter model)

This is truly a great everyday bag. It is customizable, looks sharp, and holds all my every day camera gear. It is sturdy enough to hike with, and looks good enough to have through town. The issues that I see are in the zipper system. The tops of the zipper seem to be folding up a little already. (had it about a month) I'm also not a huge fan of the chest strap. It's just a little difficult to use when you're taking the bag on and off. I look forward to using this bag for a long time, but I DEFINETELY would not pay full price for this bag, it's just too expensive.
