I bought it for my son's 18th birthday, I own a messenger bag from the first Peak Design KS and it still perfect. So I was awed in all the new features of the backpack V2. But I feel there were no compromises if I compared it to my bag... Excellent!!!
I recently got my backpack in the mail and I could not be happier with it! It's a great minimalistic looking backpack which I want the side pockets are very awesome. I will be starting college again in the fall so I wanted to receive a backpack that can hold my laptop, tablet, and now camera so in my off time I can shoot some pictures in an amazing city that offers a lot of landscape photography.
The only thing I was disappointed with the product, I found there was a few spots that were dirty. It was all over the backpack. I understand that it's a minuscule thing to complain about, but for the money I wish it looked new and not dropped on the floor or anything. Nonetheless it's a fantastic product and love it. Don't let this keep you away from buying the product worth every penny. I won't deduct a star from this because the product itself is great. Just the handling could of been better.
I purchased an Everyday Messenger in 2016 and have absolutely loved it. So, when I found myself needing more carrying capacity I picked up an Everyday Backpack. This thing is a beast. I carry 2 mac books with power cords, a Sony A7rIII with 2 lenses, a Fuji x100f, headphones, a Field Pouch with all of my drawing pens and pencils, multiple 5.5"x8.5" sketchbooks, a Verizon Jetpack, and camera charging cables with room to spare. The material is top notch and access to everything is very convenient. Highly recommended.
So well designed, excellent materials. I've got my A7R3 camera, 4 prime lenses, some accessories, 13" MB Pro computer, iPad Pro, chargers etc, book, water bottle. All fit comfortably under the airplane seat. I love all the magnetic holding and shutting things. It's super neat with handles all around. You won't be sorry. BTW I bought the smaller version. I'm 5'7 " and with mirrorless cameras I figured I could get away with the smaller bag and I was correct.
My backpack is my best companion! I am an active worker who has to travel a lot for work so I am always switching set up and my old high school pack could not keep up after 16 years of good services. The everyday pack is great with its versatility and capacity are amazing and allows me to pack for a full working day and a am afterwork climb. Riding my motorbike to customer meeting is now a treat as changing from riding boots to work shoes is done in a breeze and easily packed away. The top laptop pouch is the perfect size to hold a camelback when I opt to hop on the push bike.
The only regret is that the breast strap fell off the bag as I slid it under the seat in front of me. so if you are catching planes often watch for it! Despite all my efforts at the lost and founds counter the airline could not find it.
Overall this bag is the perfect bag for work, fun and play! It's design and shelving systems make you feels like you have twice more the capacity to a stand pack. It's aestethics are sharp and fit perfectly from a rock face to a board room.
I purchased the 30L V2 Black and absolutely LOVE this bag! This bag is beautiful!!! I'm able to fit most of my camera kit to have on me at all times.
Here's what I have in mine: * Sony A7R II * Sony A6300 * Sony 18-105 F4 * Tamron 28-75 F2.8 * 2 Godox TT600 speedlites * Godox Flash trigger * AndyCine A6 external monitor * 4 Sony batteries, cables and external charger * 15" Macbook Pro * 15" external USB monitor * Headphones * 3 external harddrives * cables and SD card holder * Logitech MX Master 2S
The only thing about this bag that I hope gets updated in the next version is the laptop zipper. I wish it would open a little wider to help make getting things in/out of it easier.
I have used this backpack for several photography trips. It serves as a "regular" backpack when I am on the planes and I use it for my cameras and lenses when I arrive. I love the versatility, lightness and ability to reconfigure it as I need. It also fits all my Olympus micro 4/3's camera gear I need on the go. I am not as happy with the waist strap, it is not easy to reach or supportive, so I do not use it. The water bottle side pouch does not stretch enough to fit a most water bottles if the pack is loaded. Make that stretchy thing 1/4" longer!
These is the second bag I have the other one is the 20L for need the extra space for longer trips. It's built very well like the first on. The up grades from Version one are nice but I would not upgrade just for them. Things I like are how sleek these bags are, quality and the ability to adjust from a book bag to a camera bag!
