I love this backpack for its versatility and the high quality of the build materials. There are almost too many configurations for how it can be used, which is a good problem to have (unless you suffer from analysis paralysis). One of the best features is the lifetime warranty, which I took advantage of in upgrading from the V1 Everyday Backpack. One nitpick I have is that the top rear pocket, in the laptop compartment, gets a little tough to slide my hand into if the main compartment is particularly full. That's a minor issue, though, and I love this backpack, and would enthusiastically recommend it to anyone.

I bought this bag two weeks ago to become my everyday carry and camera bag while on the road. So far, I'm thoroughly pleased with it, and honestly, I'm still learning all the pockets and features. The magnetic straps and pockets are my favorite feature.

Really, really convenient as a photo backpack

I just got back from my first trip with my new 30 L backpack. I enjoyed incredible access to everything with the openings provided. I was carrying my Z 8 camera, with the Nikon 14-24, 24-70, and 70-200 2.8 zooms which are not small, my Pentax K3 monochrome camera with a single lens, my Kase filters, my Gitzo travel tripod in the side pocket, and a few other things. I found that even with all of that stuff, I only had to open ONE zipper, or the top opening to get instant access to whatever I wanted. My only criticism is that the strap which holds the tripod in the side pocket is oriented at an angle upwards, and while it held the tripod securely it allowed just a bit more movement than I would like. This is my second photo backpack, and it is head and shoulders above my other one in quality, design, and ease of use. Definitely recommend this backpack to anyone!

The best Smart backpack on the market

The backpack maintains the excellent quality that its ancestor the V1 model already had, it has several improvements such as the spring side keychain, improved straps, magnetic supports in the shoulder straps that allow the backpack to stay in order when carried with the side sleeve. The only drawback, I found the internal pockets really small, I often find it difficult even to insert batteries and accessories a little longer, I would have preferred to have the same space as you have on the V1 model.
I have read many reviews that negatively evaluate the space for the laptop and the shoulder straps including the backrest, but I find it brilliant and excellent for both lumbar and shoulder support, the space for the laptop is extremely Smart.
Note for Peak's kids, better adjust and organize the inside pockets of the bag and reset the lumbar strap (model 30L) already included in the backpack as in the V1 model. For the rest you are great.

Versatile Camera Bag and More

I bought this bag several months ago for a photo trip to a tropical area. I chose the 20 liter bag because it was large enough for my gear but small enough that it still counted as a personal item on flights. One of the other reasons I chose it was it is weatherproof. It worked great for my cameras, lenses, and other gear on that trip. Since then, it's become my personal item of choice for trips that involve flying, even without all the camera gear. The adjustable Velcro dividers work well for a variety of items. And it has a sleeve to easily slip over the handle of a roller carry-on bag. And once you get to your location, you have a roomy day pack that will hold bottles of water and/or an umbrella.

Great Quality

I purchased this bag over 4 years ago. My immediate impression was of the quality. I have several Peak Design products and quality is what draws me in. However after using this bag for years now, I have an issue with design and functionality. Not being able to get full access to the bag is a problem for me. I love the bag, but the side zipper and top clip openings aren't what I desire. Considering purchasing the new zipper design.
