Exceptional backpack

I've had my Everyday Backpack for a few years now and it has been a tremendous boon for my work day. Everything I need to get from home, to the lab, to a coffee shop to code fits in it well. The side access is amazing and I find myself using it more then I thought. When combined with the Tech Pouch for cable safekeeping the bag size seems to expand even more. :)

Well made, esthetically pleasing

Purchased the V2 for trip to Iceland. Would have to agree with other reviews: This is a very nice travel backpack, but a nuisance for photography. The dividers are not stable and the switching from side to side to access is inefficient. I would suggest the PD create a tunnel box, fairly rigid that would go side too side, with dividers that could create four secure cubbies on either side.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The One

Like many other reviewers, I have tried common takes on the traditional camera backpack. Like many others, I was left unsatisfied and with a wishlist of changes I’d like to make to create the perfect bag. Peak Design took that wishlist and made it a checklist.
The Everyday Backpack V2 is everything the photographer needs in a bag. Ethical, functional, aesthetic, meticulous attention to detail. It’s a bag that you can feel good about buying. Not only does a portion of your money go to making the world a better place to live in, the construction is recycled plastic, furthering the environmental focus even more. This makes the bag last longer, which creates less waste. It’s just win-win-win-win.
The attention to detail is no surprise coming from the people who brought you Capture, a unique and revolutionary way to carry a camera outside your bag. Each and every component of the Everyday Bag V2 is carefully thought through, making it as easy to use and functional as possible. From the magnetic closures, to the origami-folding organization system, the only limit to the functionality of this bag is the user’s imagination.
Lastly and certainly not least, the cherry on top, the icing on the cake, the final flourish, the essential enhancement, the.. you get the point. Aesthetics. The Everyday Backpack V2 would already be a revolution with all the aforementioned details, but that wasn’t enough for Peak Design. They had to make it beautiful. The definition of form following function. Every line, seam, and accent unites in performing a visual symphony of design that belongs on a catwalk, yet works in the dirt. I enjoy looking at the bag as much as I enjoy using it.
The Peak Design Everyday Backpack V2 is all things to all men (and women, and everyone else). It’s a bag you can be proud to own, an old friend, a confidant, a..

Seriously, I can‘t believe that I own this backpack for maybe a year now and I love and enjoy it everyday. It‘s packed with amazing features - none of them is pointless or not thoughtful. The only thing I would improve is the access to the zipper on top - it can be a little tight when accessing the small pockets, esp. when the backpacks fully loaded. Other than that (which is rather a tiny flaw) to me it‘s the perfect backpack.

So I'd give it 5 stars, but hey...5 stars is for a bag that depends from the heavens on wings cotton candy so..Peak Design don't fret. It's a great bag....
Well..with ONE suggestion.
I have a black 30L version and in the dark I find myself having a slightly hard time getting the chest strap hitch in between the stitches (I end up hitting the stitches) on the right front of the shoulder strap. Maybe if there was a mark or something indicating where the optimal place is for the hitch that would help.

I bought the 30L version of the bag and my everyday carry consists of a sony a1, 70-200mm f2.8, 35mm f1.4, 85mm 1.4, Macbook pro 16" and exta cables, batteries and othe miscellaneous things. With all that in the bag i still have a decent space on the top shelf of the bag for anything else I wish to carry ! Really comfortable to carry even with it being fully loaded.

First real work out with the 30l bag. Travel tripod, oly EM1, 7-14 lens, 40-150, batteries, etc. 90% perfect. Only thing I need is the hip belt and a better back!
