I bought this for my daughter and son in law when their expensive shower diaper bag already started falling apart. I have a peak bag already, and knew about the lifetime warranty as well as how good it has held up to travel, so I immediately went to the website to find a back that would be a great diaper bag now, and future travel bag. This hits all marks! The origami folders are great for separating diaper sizes (2 kids in diapers), wipes and even folding to protect glass bottles. The water bottle pockets are great for everyone, and there are pockets galore in the bag. Keys? you got it. Diaper changing pad? How about the laptop area. Extra clothes? Top of the bag. Etc. etc.
I bought this bag when they were being phased out with the newer version. I use it as my work travel bag and the extra compartments are very useful. The weather proofing also makes it nice that I don’t have to worry about all my things getting soaked if I run into some rain.
After hunting for months to find a good backpack that could serve for travel and work, I found Peak Design. I've been using the bag for a few months now, several trips and some commutes and it has been excellent. The structure and functionality is exactly what I was looking for.
Love the pack but the strap could have been better

I genuinely wanted to love this backpack. It boasts remarkable organizational features, and accessing my camera gear is a breeze. However, the thin shoulder strap became a significant drawback for me. Once the bag is loaded, the lack of padding on the strap makes it highly uncomfortable. I regrettably had to switch to another brand because of this.
For reference, I typically carry: - A 14" MacBook Pro - A Nikon Z7ii with a Nikkor z 50mm f 1.8 lens - A Nikkor z 35mm f 1.8 lens - A Nikkor z 24-120mm f 4 lens - An Anker power bank - A battery charger
I would gladly reconsider this backpack if a more padded shoulder strap is introduced in its next iteration.
I originally backup the first version of this bag on kickstarter and have been using it for the last 6 years. It's been following me in the city as a daily backpack, in countryside trips, to groceries, event when hiking. It's super versatile, with great access to compartments and configurability. I'm super used to the top access with the latch and the fabric pocket in the laptop compartment to stash random small items. Every time I use another bag I miss it.
A note on customer service: the bag is lifetime guarantee and they're not kidding. My v1 bag got a problem with one of the zippers after a few years of use. It made one of the side panel difficult to use. I accepted the issue for a while, then after a few more years I reached out to customer support and they offered a replacement. This is stellar customer service.
Innovative design and brilliant use of magnets to keep it tidy. Especially appreciate the discrete lash points for when needed and hide-away pocket to store. Only wish is could set in on my roll-on luggage vertically rather than horizontally. Minor in the scheme of things.
Lifelong warranty, incredible backpack for everyday life, cool design, lightweight… the list goes on forever. I’ve tested dozens of backpacks in my life for digital work, traveling, photography or sports, it does everything and it’s the best ever.
