V1 was great. V2 is a major upgrade. So much better. Everything about this is delightful. Looks great. Works great. Organizational features are second to none. They've really thought through every little detail.
The construction of this bag is superb, as is the case for all Peak Designs gear. In my use of the pack so far, I have found very little to complain about. I am still getting used to remember which side I put what gear on so I flip it off my shoulder to the correct side. That's a memory problem. The one improvement that really comes to mind for me is the lack of externally accessible accessory pockets. Even just one would be nice. A pocket (perhaps expandable) where you could but a snack, memory cards or a spare battery would be great so you don't have to open up the main compartment every time.
The ability to adjust for different torso lengths would be great, but not something I'm knocking the pack for.
I originally had the Everyday V1 backpack as a gift from my parents when I graduated college. I wore down V1 Everyday backpack with me everywhere in my travels and it recently started to wear down. I loved how well thought out the backpack was engineered together for all photographers, and how the bag had really saved me countless times from minor weather to severe weather. I carried 1 full DSLR (Nikon D750), 1 mirrorless (Nikon Z6I) and 2-3 lens (35mm, 24-120mm and 14-30mm) including 4 batteries, my 16" Macbook pro laptop, 11" iPad Pro with a Smart Keyboard, and a few SD cards along with my wallet and other accessories. I loved this bag so much that I worn it out, and I decided it was time for me to get the Everyday Backpack V2 — which I love even more with the reinvention of the compartments inside and the 'secret' pockets! Peak Design is a genius when it comes to making bags and accessories for all creatives in the Photography and Video world — and I highly recommend them to all photographers and videographers to check them out!!!
Did a lot of research before purchasing the bag because it's quite a bit of money to invest in a bag, have NOT been let down one bit. Absolutely loving the functionality and style, as well as innovations everywhere.
Love this bag. The zippers on both sides, the clips, the straps, the origami dividers... everything is well-thought of. Would highly recommend this for day hikes, and airport travel.

The shelf system is totally ingenius and works with all different kinds of kit from DSLR to drone. As you change interests and kits the peak design backpack will change with you. All of the materials feel very high quality and will last a lifetime. My only complaint is the packets aren't very versatile and once the bag is loaded up only comfortably hold thin thinks like memory cards. It can be difficult to find a good spot for dust caps. My bag fully loaded weighs 18 pounds and it almost feels a little heavy for the straps, but that may be due to their stretchy design. Overall I reccomend this bag and all other PD products to any traveler or photographer.
There's a reason this backpack is used by most photographers and youtubers!

This is a good backpack, it is everything the YouTube reviews say its going to be, the only issue no one spoke of that i am having is that it tends to hold dust and get white marks that i have to rub off on the weatherproofed exterior, this is just an issue I'm having and It is not evidence of a defective product, PEAK DESIGN is one of the best names in the photography business, and they got that way for a reason! This is a FANTASTIC bag.
... that a photography bag could be so amazing. Every inch was thoroughly thought to provide the best photographer backpack yet. I highly recommend using this bag along with Peak Design's camera Slide and Clutch. Can't wait for new products to show up online.
