As always PD outdone themselves with this bag and all the travel line. It’s very comfortable to carry even with heavy loads, the zippers are buttery smooth, thoughtful features and design all the way around. There are some things I would’ve liked though: first and foremost 4 external carry straps instead of two, magnetic clasps on the side pockets just like the everyday backpack, and maybe a magnetic closure for the laptop pocket, I think I know why the went with Velcro but for the price of the bag seems to me like a cheap solution.
All in all it’s a really nice and thoughtful bag designed to withstand years of abuse, I’m very happy with my purchase.
The highest quality non-electronic object I've ever known! I just used this backpack on my first trip and there is SO MUCH SPACE! Everything is so well thought out on this bag and it makes me feel so great to support such wonderful engineering. Well worth the money.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I’ve used this bag for over a year now on multiple shoots; while it is used with the large camera cube inside, this review will be on the travel bag itself.
Exterior: The attachment loops are a nice touch, but the removable straps worked themselves loose way too fast.
The backpack straps need a bit more cushion, but I assume a small sacrifice was made to ensure they would tuck away neatly.
I’m not a fan of the chest strap or waist strap. While the chest strap is completely removable, the waist strap tucks away into the same spot as the shoulder straps, and often becomes a minor nuisance when stowing or removing the shoulder straps.
Placement of the top grab handle seems off to me; when you hold the bag from said handle, it hangs at an angle since the handle isn’t on the bag’s centerline (when viewed from the side).
Interior: My main complaint about the interior is that the compression snaps do not stay secured at all. Even if the bag is completely empty, the snaps’ seperation is inevitable (surely there’s a joke in there about Thanos somewhere).
The side access zipper pulls also have a tendency to shimmy themselves loose from the security tabs that are supposed to keep them in place.
Overall, I enjoy using this bag. The vast majority of my camera gear is packed away in here, and it has enough space & features to keep my stuff organized & accessible. While the aforementioned cons are minor gripes, if they were to be remedied in the next iteration of this bag, I’d likely sell mine just to help fund the purchase of the new version.
Love it. Multiple use. Very sturdy. The bag is great for traveling and handling camera and lens

I bought this pack for a trip to Alaska, plus envisioning using it throughout Europe. The pluses are that it is exceptionally well made and has some nice features. I wound up rolling up the divider in the middle and using it as one unit. With the packing cubes, I could pack and unpack easily (6 hotels/hostels) in 8 nights.
The negatives are that I ignored the "it's too heavy" comments. I also noticed that mostly all of the reviews are from men. I truly believe that this pack is more suited for men. I'm 5"7" and 137 lbs. It is heavy (about 5 lbs) empty. The waist strap didn't stay tight while I was wearing it. When it was packed for my trip, I had 18 lbs in it. I'm going to see if my husband wants to use it, otherwise I'll have to sell it.
I also bought the packing cubes, shoe bag, tech pouch and toiletry kit. I absolutely love the toiletry kit and compression packing cubes. They are going on my third trip this weekend.
Peak Design is a great product and when they come out with a pack designed for women, I will be there checking it out and hopefully buying it!
I absolutely love this backpack. I have the duffel as well, and thought about not buying this because it seemed redundant. Holy cow was I wrong! This backpack is so much different and more usable on a daily basis. I leverage the camera cubes and to be able to plop those in and go is huge for me. I really wish I would have bought this sooner! I should also note that I sold my Everyday Backpack on the Used Peak Marketplace and used those funds to purchase this. I think this backpack is way better than the ED version.
