Great Investment

While this bag definitely doesn't run cheap, I am extremely happy with the the build quality and functionality built into it. The compartment placements are easily accessible multiple different ways for any situation or need. I was able to take this bag as a carry on in it's most compressed form and still carry a week's worth of clothes ok my back and feel comfortable doing so. It has totally changed my travel routine as I can carry everything I need and not check a bag and remain comfortable. The expanding compartment is well hidden and the straps for carrying large items seem solid although I didn't need to use them as of writing this post since the space already was plenty. I will say if you are shorter than 5'10" that you may want to consider the everyday bag instead as it can be a little on the large side if you have a smaller frame.
Other than that, it's a solid, well designed bag, with everything you could possibly want in a backpack, and probably a few extras you may never need, but could come in handy.

Great bag for all body types, super flexible for traveling or as a gear bag

Finding a bag to fit a small, female frame is actually pretty challenging, and I have to hand it to Peak Design. A lot of other high end bags place the chest strap right across the front, which doesn't work well for women at all! This bag is fully adjustable in that regard, and it was a non-negotiable for me. I appreciate how flexible this bag is as well. You can simply use it as a carry-on bag when traveling and leave the packing cubes behind. And as a professional shooter, I can use the packing cubes for shoots when I need to carry and protect my gear. I love that it opens completely for full view of my gear. Also has some nice security features so the bag can't be unzipped by others when you're out and about with it. It's pricey, but I think well worth the investment. Plus the lifetime guarantee is incredible. Some other high-end bags have guarantees but don't cover things like zippers. I've gone through enough bags in my ten year career so far, and I'm excited to finally have a bag that will last longer and be repairable down the road. Best Travel Bag Around

The Travel Backpack 45L is the best travel bag I've ever owned! It's sleek, intuitively design and is the perfect size for as a weekender bag, travel, & carrying photography/videography gear. It's totally worth the investment and I don't see myself getting anything else. This was my first Peak Design purchase and they won me over! Since then, I've gotten packing cubes, the Tech Pouch, the Slide, and soon, and Everday Sling 3L. Peak Design is where it's at!

This bag is even better in person than in the video I watched about a bajillion times. It has some of the sweetest features I've always wanted and some I didn't know I needed. This rough tough yet high class bad assery can hold up to some abuse. Oh and the super sweet packing cubes and camera codes are the jam. They make this bag even more fun and easy. Big thanks to the people who designed these bags!

I recently bought a P.D. 45 liter back pack, small camera bag,medium clothing bag and electronics bag. There's not a lot to complain about.I love that it's so versatile, I can go light on the photo equipment( bring my Fuji system) or stuff it full (bring my Nikon system,although I'll have to purchase the medium sized camera bag) and there's plenty of room left over. Of course it's a big bag but if your not checking a bag it's plenty for everything you need. Lot's of pockets to organize stuff. I like that I can remove the camera bag and put a strap on it which I did on my most recent trip. I also like the grab straps on the bag, very well thought out. No matter how the bag is lying there's a convenient strap to grab. I also love that it stands on it's own. I haven't walked long distances with it other then through an airport but stuffed full it was comfortable. My wife's water bottle was a bit tight in the pocket and I don't think my 32 oz hydroflask will fit but I'll have to try it. Maybe I had too much in the bag at the time.
I have a Manfrotto Noreg, similar concept to this bag. I like it but it's too small to travel carry on only but convenient for day trips. I also hate that the zippers keep getting stuck on the Manfrotto not so with the P.D..

Wow this thing is well designed!

I have never spent this much money on a bag of any kind, but I fell in love with the design focused nature of the gear by Peak Design. Given that this is literally an every-day bag for me, I though I'll try it and I'm glad I did. There's a huge divide in usability and enjoyment when something is designed this well vs. a generic bag. Material quality especially is well chosen. I get lots of compliments on the bag, and more than a year in it's perfect. I've bought several other products from Peak and I'm happy with all of them!

This backpack is fantastic. It can do everything that I could possibly want it to and more. Just a heads up, this bag is big, so if you're thinking about using it as an everyday its not the best for that. Definitely a travel bag as they say it is. Overall great product.
