Just got back from a 10 day backpacking trip through japan and Thailand. This backpack has seen the rain of Tokyo to the hard wood of a boat roaming through the ocean in Thailand. I got this backpack along with the small camera cube and medium packing cube and it all works really well. I'm impressed with backpack's ruggedness so far only time will tell how durable it really is.
The only reason this backpack doesn't receive 2 stars is because:
1. The straps are too thin/ uncomfortable. Pretty much the same straps from the everyday-backpack but with A much larger load and volume size. Makes it uncomfortable to carry all that weight.
2. On day 3 of backpacking one of the metal buttons on the bottom of the pack where the straps had the paint fall off. It seems like the paint just peeled off very easily, although just cosmetic it does make me question the durability of the pack because of the paint just peeling off so easily
Otherwise it's an incredible backpack and well worth the money.

Love how spacious it is but the weight and the shoulder pads are issues

With the large camera cube, I can fit all the gears that I need. Plus I can put cloths I need for at least 3 days with the expansion compartment.
However, the weight is pretty heavy even without anything inside. Also, the shoulder pads are thin so it digs into the shoulders. I hope Peak Design releases some addition paddings for this bag, maybe for 30 bucks.

Amazingly designed

Having been on production crews that traveled overseas to film, I have a lot of experience in the art of packing a lot of camera equipment into backpacks - I wish we had this bag sooner! The engineering and design of this bag maximizes the amount of space available and it is THE ONLY bag I would use for one bag travel.
The shoulder straps and hip belt are sturdy (and stowable) and help distribute the weight really well. The materials are high quality and I love how clean the bag looks even though it is packed with pockets and storage.
I can't recommend this product enough! If you are in search of a tech and wash pouch, buy them from Peak Design - the same thought and design that makes this backpack great makes those pouches equally awesome.

This bag has absolutely everything you could ask for. Combine it with a packing cube and it becomes very versatile in what kind of trip you're planning on. From packing hiking gearto even a simple weekend getaway and still have room for a camera.

I own 6 different backpacks (4 from PD), and this is the best, most versatile backpack I own. I like how it opens from the back and the main packing compartment has everything you need for a 2-4 day trip. Highly recommend. You won't be disappointed.

Better workflow, great access, and great quality

I was skeptical at first about how much of a change this would really bring to my gear access and workflow. As it turns out, it does bring about a significant amount of improvement. While constantly moving around and trying to remain creative, workflow has great value and this certainly improves it.
Worth the price if time is worth much for you.

My new forever backpack

It's not advertised as daily use but I use the 45L for just that! It goes where I go and comfortably holding a lot or a little depending on my needs. I don't think I'm going to get another backpack for a long, long time.
