My peak design bag was the best I've ever owned, until I bought the V2

I've owned the V1 travel bag, and the messenger. Love them both for work and day-to-day trips. Planning an international trip in 2020 and wanted to get all my gear across the pond; so i sprung for the bigger V2. With a camera cube with a small and medium packing cube i'm able to fit my Mamiya RZ67, film back, lens, etc. along with my DSLR, lenses, cards, a seagull TLR and a light meter... the packing cubes and the toiletry bag take care of the smells and styles. All of which fit into a carry-on. I'm sold!

This is a dope bag .. I got this bag a few months ago and I just can't seem to put it down. It fits all me daily essentials plus enough space to stow away my jackets and supplies ... with plenty of space left over to carry delicate and external gear using the bag straps while still being very accessible and easy to carry .. thank you peak design for coming up with a genius design looking forward to what else you guys come up with.

Excellent travel bag...but alittle too big

My favourite carry-on bag for my travels. However it's alittle too big/heavy for a day pack. Wish the designers could incorporate a daypack/sling bag that can be detached from the main bag. Something like the osprey bag. Would make this the perfect travel companion

Impressive quality & functionnality
Peak Design always offers great products, and this one is no exception. Because of the grand amount of features this bag has to offer, every time you travel with it, you find new ways to use it based on your needs. The materials are durable and look really high end (on the tech side). I am 5'8" and the bag fits really well on me. It is comfortable and well proportioned. The compression feature is really welcome when the bag is not full, and on the other side, it is great to have the extension feature when you need that little extra space. While traveling, I used to carry a backpack and a Nanuk hard case (carry-on size) for my photography gear and now I have combined the two into this travel backpack. It may become a bit heavy when fully packed, but what to expect from a solution as complete as this one. Worth every penny, it's an investment.

I am very picky when it comes to my backpacks quality. Peak Design did not cheap out on their quality! Everything is top notch! Also, it has great functionality with all of the zippers making in convenient to reach in and grab something quick without having to dig though the top zipper.

There's a place for everything, and then some

Seriously, this bag has so many pockets that are well thought out and strategically placed. Love the dual entrance to the front pockets. Love the compatibility and seamless integration with my small camera cube. Luggage pass through is excellent, as is the foldaway straps and magnetic closures throughout the backpack. Hidden pockets are genius. I fold down the top to make it smaller when I don't have as much stuff. Great for weekend travel.

Glad I bought the Peak design travel backpack

I wanted to buy a backpack for an upcoming 10 day solo trip to Japan and after a lot of research between the different options available in the market, I decided to buy the Peak design 45l travel backpack. I was looking for a backpack big enough to carry 10 days worth of clothes including a few jackets for my trip. Since I was covering 4 cities in Japan, I needed to rely on only one bag for a hands free experience from one train station to another and peak design delivered! 10 days, 4 cities, countless subways, trains, cablecars and even ropeways and ferries, PD helped me navigate through all that with no hassle. The orginzation is also so easy that it helped me move from one hotel to another quickly without having to pack and unpack. Recommend buying compression packing cubes (any brand) to go along with your backpack. It makes it easier to pack more stuff and keep things organized while you are traveling.
