Versatile, Organized and numerous configurations available

Just put the Travel Backpack through two weeks in the Canadian Rockies hiking and taking images. Use a small camera cube with one full frame camera and two lenses. The Tech Pouch is dynamite, a favorite. Also rained, so the rain fly cover came in handy. I am in my late sixties, so one complaint is the bag is heavy. Estimate my weight at times, with clothing layers and gear, was between 15-25 pounds. Like the organization and versatile nature of bag. These are items needing further work: Sternum strap, difficult to work with and can be lost easily. It is also very necessary. Small Camera cube needs a center attachment to bottom of bag, not sides. With c-clips on side, bag is uneven and awkward to hike with. Really like the side pockets for water. Trying to move to 35L on airplane does not work on my bag, it stays at 45L which hampered a float plane ride. Received lots of compliments on the sage color and bag, so gave some recommendations during my journey. My sense is I have located the right bag for travel, even if I do not take camera gear. Suggestion would be to buy more C-Clips and a medium camera cube to even out weight. The C-Clips I found can hold more items other than cubes nicely.

The travel backpack is an absolute powerhouse of a bag. It is extremely versatile, adjustable, and adaptive to everyday use. My favourite feature is the fact that you can pull the hipbelt out while the pack is on making the ease of transition from duffel to day-hiker/camera pack very smooth. I actually use the Capture Clip off the hipbelt of my pack instead of on the shoulder strap and couple that with a camera strap instead of the common use of having the Capture Clip on the shoulder strap with a clutch. I find that this allows me to not only wear the pack but also have my camera locked on my hip (not obscuring my arm mobility) and can quickly release for immediate use (given naturally, my arms hang at my hip anyway). I also find that this is important when hiking as it prevents the camera from swinging around in front of me while climbing or hitting off the ground if I am leaning down. The travel pack has also been great with multi-purpose usage like roadtrips (packing clothing and camera gear), flights, and hiking. As someone who has a dedicated pack for most other things than camera carry, I find that this is my go-to bag for my not only my camera gear but for quite literally, everything else. It has taken over almost all uses because of its ability to adjust to different types of travel. The side pockets and adjustable carry straps are an absolute genius addition. I don't have any complaints.

My new Railroad bag
on June 11, 2019

I'm a locomotive engineer and a swapped from my old travel bag “made for railroaders”. It was big and bulky, held a lot of stuff. It also got hung up on the handrails or doorways, and did not sit comfortably on my back. I've been using the Peak Design 45L for about a month now. It took some adjustment and reevaluating of my packing. I can carry everything I did in my old bag, but without any extra room left. It rides comfortably on my shoulders for walking along the ballast and climbing up and down from the engines. It is inline with my body and doesn't get hung up on anything. Overall, I recommend the bag. Just know it's not going to hold as much gear as the other bigger bags do. It holds everything I carry just fine.

I'm so glad I came across this bag.. as a photography and videography business, we have A LOT of gear. We were able to fit just about everything we need for a wedding day into this bag. It has an unbelievable amount of pockets.. some you may not even realize are there. We're still finding new places to store things in this bag. Love it!

Being a minimalist is easier with this bag. From camera gear to every day carry, I can depend on this bag for it's many pockets and modular possibilities and configurations for my purposes. I'd highly recommend if you want one bag for it all, especially for every day carry.

I travel a lot- many hundred trips in the last few years. I have used and destroyed a lot of bags. This thing is excellently made and exceptionally designed- very well thought out as well. I would recommend to anyone the best travel backpack I have ever owned. Does really well in European budget airlines too with the various sizes that is can become. Fabulous customer service as well. If you want just one bag, buy this one!

The perfect "everything in one bag" bag
on June 29, 2019

I had a problem: I was carrying two bags every day, a messenger bag and a gym duffel bag, because I needed to break my work stuff but also went to the gym after work. It was a huge pain. I ended up getting this backpack plus some packing cubes and it fits everything with room to spare. This is the perfect choice if you need an EDC but for LOTS of stuff.
