I bought this a month ago. I mostly like it, but there are a few things that I don't like. First the good:
They coyote is, in my opinion, the best color they make. Period.
It's well designed. I like that it's waterproof, stands up without drama. Easy to get my laptop into and out of. I like having the large space in the middle that I can just put stuff in without having to try to organize it. I like the internal pockets and organizer. I like that the carry straps fold away.
I do not like that the carry straps are really hard to put in the pocket. It's often a pain. It's gets easier with time, but it's still a pain. I do not like that the 30L does not have magnetic closures. The straps just need to stay put. Mostly they do, but at the bottom stuff hangs out and it doesn't look tidy. I wish I could get into the bag through the side too, but I can't. It's pretty much all or nothing. I understand that is a trade-off of the bag design. Doesn't stop me from wishing it could be different.
Overall, it is lighter than the everyday backpack v2, which I like a lot.
In general, I am happy with it. I will probably sell my everyday backpack, and use this for daily carry. And in the future I may get the 45L which addresses nearly all of my concerns, except that it can't be used as a personal item on a plane in many cases.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Killer Christmas Present.

Purchased as Christmas gift with appropriate accessories of packing cubes, pouches and totes. Was very well received. Their reciprocal comments being;
Love the straps on all sides for easy carrying/hanging. And ridged internal frame.
The separation of the main pocket is great for organization and makes it easier to find things without emptying the entire main compartment. Like the bold orange interior with the Eclipse color selection. Really good build

Sturdy with issues

Good looking bag. Very sturdy. I use it mainly for travel. Can fit a week of travel if packed smartly.
Only issues are the straps tend to loosen requiring constant shoulder adjustments. Also, when packed tight, the water bottle slot is difficult to allow any thing over 12 ounces. Lastly, the top slot cannot fit many items you need quickly.

Favourite hand luggage of all time

I absolutely love this backpack. Not wheeling around in airports or on the streets, but having my stuff comfortably on the back. It easily contains what I need for 3-4 days business trips including trainers. Well organised and good user experience all around. Durable and good looking.

Finally can get all my gear and have some space for other things in carry-on luggage. Smart design and high quality backpack. My first Peak Design product and probably not last.

I bought the 35/45 travel backdrop for a trip to Europe. Previously when traveling, I used an Osprey that had several pockets, but it didn't seem like it carried a lot. I was looking for a "clam" style backpack to carry more on our trip. I spent quite a bit of time looking at all the name brand backpacks and after an extensive research, I landed on the DP 35/45 travel backpack. This backpack had all of the features that I was looking for. The designers of this product hit a home run with their design and all of the features. I like the fact that this can be collapsed or expanded depending on how much you are carrying. I really like that the shoulder straps can be tucked in when not needed. This was a very unique feature and none of the other backpacks that I was looking had this feature. They all had removable back straps or could not be removed at all. The anti-theft features also stood out for me. Even though this is a "claim" shell type of backpack, there are still enough compartments to hold the smaller items I am packing. I like that I have quick access to my iPad and headphones. I like that there are multiple ways to access the items in the backpack (side, front and back). I bought my wife a different brand backpack and after our trip, she is now wishing that I had bought the DP 35/45 L for her. The quality of the material is excellent and this should last a lifetime. I'm so glad that I bought this and can't wait to use it again. As this backup is so wonderfully made, I have created my own wish list of DP product that I would like to purchase in the future. While the cost of this backpack was more than I was originally looking to spend, I have come to realize that you get what you pay for and it is better to buy quality products and not cheap out and have issues with a lesser product.

I love this product! I am traveling with it right now at the airport. I love it so much, I bought my son one. I wish I could trade it in for a more feminine color.
