I had been eyeing peak design bags for over a year because of all the cool unique features they all come with. Overpacking and a heavy backpack have always been my problem. I did not want to go for the 45L for the sheer bulk of it since I am 5’4”. I ended up trading off with the everyday 30l even though I am not a photographer and don’t have any cameras only because the smaller travel backpack DID NOT come with all those cool unique features present in the everyday and the bigger travel. PLEASE PLEASE make the smaller travel backpack cooler for petite people to carry and enjoy.

SKI BOOT bag...what??????

Had this a couple of months and just took my first trip. I bought a pair of ski boots and checked them with my luggage. On my return trip I was worried they would get banged up so a light bulb went off. Could I possibly fit two huge size twelve ski boots in my Peak design. Holy crap. They fit like a glove. As if they were designed for the bag. Bonus, I said hmmmm. I wonder if I can use the straps to tie my helmet to the outside. boom works perfectly. And I also put my tech bag, lap top, iPad, kindle, head phones, goggles, etc in the bag and I need even need to expand to 45 liters. I also bought the sling bag which I carry in the bag and use as a day pack, it takes up zero room in the bag. Oh and I am still finding little compartments I didn't know where there. THERE IS NOT OTHER BAG ON THE MARKET AS GOOD AS THIS. Oh, I know I am a bag junky and I own all the others as well.

I admit I was hesitant to spend this kind of money on a backpack, but I plan on doing a lot of travel, and this pack has so many neat features. I was impressed with the quality build, and high-end material this is made from. I am generally hard on my gear, but I can see this lasting me well into retirement (years away). Packing is an art, and this pack opens up options.

I'm in love

Wow - is possible to be in love with an inanimate object (45L backpack)? I purchased this bag a month ago and have used it on two trips. Flawless, high quality and lives up to all the reviews! The packing cubes, tech and bath pouches, field pouch and 'stretchy' cubes rounded out the whole system, flawlessly. I could not be more happy with the fit, finish and overall quality of this bag and the accessories - well done!! Yes, the price is a bit higher than others, but you get what you pay for.

I bought this to be more lean when I travel for business. The sleek design and strong lines makes it elegant enough so that I don’t appear to be “backpacking” with the client. The well engineered details do not go unprotected when using the pack. Can’t wait to grow my collection of these products.

This backpack served me well on my week long eurotrip. Unfortunately one of the plastic shoulder strap retainers broke off. I would recommend replacing these with metal hardware. I also would like a replacement.

Worked as a personal item on a plane
on February 14, 2025

I bought this "30L" backpack as a carry on personal item in it's 27L form for a one month trip to New Zealand. It fit under the airplane seat and although it's technically oversized no one looked twice at it. It also carried my 16 inch Mac Pro with plenty of room. It worked well with the PD toiletry kit and large gadget bag. You cannot get much into the bag without being well over the airline's ludicrous weight restrictions, but no one checked the weight of either carry on at any time. I also wanted a backpack that opened like a suitcase. The downside is that it is definitely not waterproof and some of my stuff got wet. I personally like that it keeps it's shape and can be expanded from 27L to 35L. Also the luggage pass through was a must as I also had a wheeled carry on.
