Looks good, but limited on features and quality

My wife got this Soundbar using points earned through a program at her work. We wanted a soundbar that had satellite speakers that we could place on our bedroom nightstands in order to keep the volume lower at night, while still being able to hear the TV. This did not meet our needs, or expectations. First off the soundbar is easy to setup and looks really good. I connected it to my TV via HDMI. This was the only way I could figure out how to control it's volume with the TV remote and turn it on/off with the TV. This feature does work well, but will occasionally glitch when turning on the TV and will require you to turn it on manually. The overall sound quality is nothing spectacular, with the subwoofer being almost nonexistent and the individual speakers being average at best. Occasionally, the satellite speakers will glitch as well and become slightly distorted for about 3-6secs. This only occurs intermittently and hasn't been super annoying, but they are only about 10' away from the sound bar and continuously plugged in to USB for power. I have also found that there are not very many options for the sound as well. I was hoping to find a basic single channel, or stereo option that would play the sound equally through all speakers, as this was my intent for the system, but I have only been able to utilize surround regardless of how I setup the audio output settings on my TV. In addition, if you are planning to put this in a bedroom and want to use the satellite speakers detached all the time, you should know that turning off the Soundbar will send the satellite speakers into a standby mode with a very bright flashing light. You can turn each speaker off individually, however that is a bit of a pain, when you are wanting to simply turn the system off and go to bed. Overall, this is a very basic soundbar that is very limited on options and quality. It does offer a louder sound than most speakers installed on a TV, however if you are wanting something that will really improve the quality of your audio, I would look elsewhere.
