Whirlpool broke out the old pencil on this unit!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far, so good! Bought this unit @homedepot a few weeks ago. Although the same measurement size as the GE fridge we replaced, this unit has a raised waste line and that 100% gives us the feel of the shelves internally being centered vertically, if you can imagine that. Makes reaching inside to access stuff a breeze! The stance on this unit works well for us too. We're not tall ppl (5'5 - 5'9), so the centering aspect just compliments us in an unexpected but very practical way. Spacing in the freezer is good. The French door storage bins give you all kinds of looks but are functional. However, you'll be limited w/ the multi-height adjustable shelving. Whirlpool had to compromise somewhere on this unit to jam in all of the functionality. But, you'll get over the adjustable shelving quickly enough. It's ample. Of note, the unit does make a very audible low-buzz sound from time to time when the ice maker is turned on. Not a big deal, though, but just so you know. Again, a good unit with good marks from the family...thumbs up!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i BOUGHT THIS APPLIANCE IN JUNE, HAD IT ABOUT ONE MONTH AND THE ICE MAKER GUIT WORKING. HAD TO TRY TO FIND A REPAIR PERSON (OR COMPANY) LOCALLY THAT COULD FIX IT. FINALLY HAD TO GO TO WHIRLPOOL FOR A REPAIR AND HAD TO SETTLE FOR A TWO-WEEK APPOINTMENT. I'M NOT A HAPPY CAMPER. WISH NOW I HAD CHOSEN A DIFFERENT APPLIANCE.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

replacement refrigerator seems to work perfectly

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The first refrigerator had multiple problems. It needed to be replaced but every person I talked to kept telling me things I needed to do and try. It was extremely stressful and the local contracted appliance company I had to use to set up multiple service appointments were extremely rude on the phone. Problem started on day of closing, June 12 and it was finally replaced July 7th.
