Love this set. Of course, the pan and steamer are of the highest quality. This pan distributes the heat evenly, browns, sautés, and steams like a dream. The pan cleans so easily and no worries about stainless steel flaking. Wish I had purchased this sooner, but enjoying it now that I’m using it. I would highly recommend this set to anyone who loves to cook

Nice pan set...works well in oven for roasting, great for steaming vegetables..all around good pan but not for cooking rice..has a pouring lip on pan...washes up so easily!!

We purchased this, Preferred Pan 4-Pc Set, a month ago and didn't use it until this past weekend when my wife cooked her favorite dish, chicken paprikaš. She was so happy with how it performed! It was the perfect size for cooking a whole, cut up chicken. She loved how light the cookware is. The handle is very comfortable and easy to lift the pan/pot with. Of course, the non-stick surface is a nice feature when it comes to clean up. And, the pour spouts on each side of the pan/pot are brilliant at letting steam escape when the lid is on. No more setting the lid ajar and having condensation dripping onto the stove top.
We know that the steaming basket insert will come in really handy, too, for such things as steaming a whole head of cauliflower, or cabbage (real Slovak and Hungarian staples in our house). And finally, the Cuisinart Preferred Pan is good looking and we love the color we chose.
My wife is looking forward to her next meal to cook in this pan, as I am, too! I'm thinking meatballs and marinara sauce are calling my name!

I have only used this 3 times so far. The performance is good. But I need recipes, ideas, for using it more. I have requested this but never heard anything. It should have come with a small recipe book, or at least a code to access a website with recipes specific to the pan. the QR code provided on the box did not work.

Great pan for holiday cooking!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great pan/pot! It has a nice ceramic-looking coating that is easy to clean. It is sturdy and on the heavier side, but not so heavy that I can't lift it with one hand. It is a bit difficult though. It is also almost double the size of the pan that I currently use for most of my quick, every day cooking, so it probably won't take the place of that. I love the multi-use ability and that it can go in the oven. This would be better for my big holiday cooking like at Thanksgiving.
I really liked the notch on the lid, but you have to balance the spatula just right for it not to fall. I wish it had grips that would conform more to the spatula. I also liked the small pouring spouts on 2 sides and how the handles feel.
