Not what I expected. It is not insulated so the ice goes through a continuous cycle of formation and then melting. That means the ice never really becomes solidly frozen and melts almost immediately upon contact with liquid. The machine is also crazy noisy. Disappointing overall.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Takes some getting used to - reading the directions is a must, but it works well once it's up and running. I typically use it to make a few bags of ice, then clean it and store it until I need it again. I'm happy with my purchase.

we absolutely love our new Compact Bullet Ice Cube Maker! It is very fast, and in our office that means a lot since we have about 10 people that use it, so even if it empties out, there is ice in about 20 minutes, which surprised all of us.

I can't say enough good things about this little ice maker. I purchased to use in my RV. With limited counter top space I was looking for something with a small footprint. This fits the bill. Works flawlessly. Makes great ice quickly. Love it!

Compact and quick to make ice.
Generally pretty simple to use, although there’s only one button and you have to remember how long to hold it to do different things.
Not exactly silent, but not excessively noisy.
It’s not a refrigerator, so you need to either use the ice or put the ice in cooler/freezer.
Can’t comment on longevity, as I’ve only had it a month.
