When I first purchased the GlideLite, I was pleased with how it steamed my clothes. All was right with the world; birds chirping, bees buzzing, bunnies hopping. Then one day, a few months after my purchase, it stopped emitting steam. It became warm to the touch, but not hot enough to steam out any wrinkles. Now I am left with an iron shaped door weight ( I appreciate the weight). Sadly, I had to go back to my cheap Hamilton Beach, that has been working for years. I was hoping to upgrade my iron, but ended up disappointed in what Conair put out. Yes, there are some occasional duds, but apparently, if a warranty was not purchased, they can't help you. My advise is buy the warranty, just in case.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

After using this iron twice, I have been pleasantly pleased with its performance. It steams really well and I really like the any fabric non settings. So far very pleased.

Great iron to have!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The most important feature that I love about this iron is being safe on all kind of fabrics while not asking you to adjust manually. Iron my clothes now becomes easy as I don't have to worry about the temperature of the iron. Its ability to have just a single heat setting is great to have.
The iron heats up quite fast and yes, one can have the steam to remove wrinkles. Overall, I love this iron for helping my choirs.
