As a biologist, hunter and backcountry angler, batteries on fitness watches have been an issue. This watch allows me to go into the field without a concern.

Fantastic Multi-Sports Watch

I realize that the marketing around this watch is focused on the ultra trail runner. I'm actually more of a mountain biker and, to a lesser degree, road/gravel cyclist. My primary goal was to find a watch that offered all of the sleep and training metrics I'd like along with broadcasting my heart rate to my Edge computer (for when I forget to bring my chest strap monitor). Beyond that, I wanted great battery life and durability and, of course, who doesn't? This watch does it all very well. The clunkiest part is probably the heart-rate broadcasting. I haven't quite figured that out entirely yet but it seems that I need to begin an activity on the watch at the same time as the computer and it tends to work. Many times, I'll have to pair it up for a given ride. It would be nice if it were more automated. That said, I've also come to appreciate many of the watch features that I wasn't really after. I also had considered just stripping down some of these requirements going with the Venu 3 since my Edge 840 handles most of my actual in-sport needs.
I'll admit that the Venu 3 (my daughter picked up a 3s at the same time as I bought my Enduro 3) is much thinner and makes for a better-looking fashion accessory. While I can appreciate that, I am a bigger guy so the larger Enduro 3 doesn't look too relatively chunky on my wrist. I also feel much more comfortable with the Enduro's perceived durability. It definitely looks closer to a "military grade" watch and I expect to hold up well.
Also, my competitive mountain-biking daughter is a bit disappointed in some of the software features (like training readiness) that are disabled on the Venu 3 to keep it from encroaching too much on the more expensive sports watches.

So glad I bought this watch finally. I've yet to charge it and I first used it on a 50k / 5500ft race in auburn. So intuitive, I didnt need much at all to get started. I love Garmin connect, I was easily able to import my course and then I sent it to the watch. Day of the race I started the course. It helped me so much to be able to see all 17 climbs and where I was on those climbs. I've since run 30 plus miles, done multiple hikes and used the watch daily and im still at 18 days of battery life! incredible! my whoas of charging are gone. I can't wait to take it to the john muir trail for my next adventure! Love the garmin ecosystem. I really feel I have the watch for what I need to do. Way better experience while running than my Apple watch. I can still make calls if needed via my airpods. Love the brightness of the watch to check my time. Can't wait to continue loading courses into Gamin connect. The navigation and mile lap announcements are so great in my headphones!

Light and fast

So far this is my favorite Garmin smart watch. I don't use the speaker function so I really don't feel like I'm missing out with anything. The battery life on this is tremendous and planning some long distance trips makes this well worthwhile. The training features and apps are excellent.

I switched to the Enduro 3 from a Fenix 7x, which I had for almost three years.
The Fenix 7x was great for its time. But by today's standards left much to be desired. So I figured that I would give the Enduro 3 a shot.
The Enduro 3 had a better battery life, a crisper, clearer screen, a brighter flashlight, better mapping with the better screen, better solar charging, a better heart rate monitor that does the ECG stuff, better UI for the weight lifting features, and I am sure I am just scratching the surface.
I mostly use it for Hiking/Backpacking, Strength Training, light on the running aspects but do run occasionally. And I do some water sports like Kayaking and Canoeing. But for someone who is actively trying to keep AI out of my wearables, this was a great choice for me compared to the Fenix 8 line.
Not sure how Garmin did it with this one, but of all the models out there right now, it's pretty spectacular that they got this watch at its current price point. I would argue this is the current crown jewel of the Garmin lineup. Loving it.
Phenomenal device. Great user experience.

Most useful EDC
on May 13, 2025

I'll just listen the most useful benfiits for me; Vibration Alarm + Timer, MIP low battery drain, 3 weeks - Infinity Battery (Battery saving mode), I can see my heart rate and get stress alerts, I get health reports about me sleep, sports modes, GPS tracking, insane customization, SMS/apps alerts allow me to put my phone away and Ill get alerts as long as its in my vicinity. there's just so many useful features in this thing.
this is an extremely expensive watch and something I wasn't planning on getting but Im glad I did, it's extremely useful & minimal the way I like it.

Best watch Garmin to date!
on May 15, 2025

Lightest, most capable, most rugged, and great looking Garmin Watch to date. Unbelievable battery life. Charging it once every 36 days or longer with solar! Crispest MIPS display. Feather light. And, as usual, Garmin watches continue to rock by *continuously* tracking and showing you your heart rate (unlike Apple Watches that do not do that continuously, they just sample, and do not show your Heart Rate in real time in a complication.) I've owned and still own many Garmin and Apple watches, I have compared them many times to see which one works best for me, and I always go back to Garmin because Garmin watches rock. I also really like the always on MIPS display and this watch is the clearest yet. Granted, other watches with AMOLED displays such as the Fenix 8 might be brighter and prettier to some, but I dislike changes in brightness based on ambient light and much rather have an stable watch face and longest possible battery life (up to unlimited in some modes with solar, very important in a long grid down scenario.) Kudos to Garmin for the Enduro 3, their very best watch to this day.
