Great watch with frustrating HR accuracy with some activities.

First, I love the look of the watch, the build quality, the battery life, the GPS accuracy and the customizability. It's come a long way since my first Fenix 3 HR+.
I do find that with uphill skiing and rock climbing the heart rate is really inaccurate. I'll be doing a tempo effort and my HR is 110-120. If I wear a chest strap it'll be where I expect. I think it has to do with the wrist movement involved. My Apple watch seemed much more accurate for HR the same activities. But, the GPS would add 1,000ft of climbing that didn't actually happen, the battery wouldn't last a full day skiing and style is pretty bad.
I'll be sticking with the Fenix for now, I just wish that HR Sensor was a little better.

Another solid Garmin product

I bought this watch to replace my 6.5 year old Fenix 5. I have only been using it for a weekend, but so far so good. The heart rate monitor seems much more accurate, and the insights are way deeper and more personalized. I also like how much customization is possible with this watch. Lastly, the screen clarity is truly incredible. As with all Garmins, the battery life and waterproof attributes are also on point. Highly recommend!

Unreliable with poor software

Possibly a good hardware with a very poor software. Consistently showing different data on the watch and connect up. If you cannot trust or rely on it, why would you use it for? Support was very unhelpful…for 2 months coming back with the same response: we are still checking

The watch is light, unobtrusive and comfortable. It does an excellent job tracking my exercise and sleep.
It is much more accurate tracking my swims than my previous Fenix 5

Battery Life is exceptional

I had the Epix before and it was a great sports accessory. This does all that and more. The battery life is the most noticeable immediate difference.
I use this for everything, although apparently I need to sleep more and I am really out of shape ... lol!

This watch will work for any stats geek whilst still being popular with the weekend warrior who likes to smash out activities and track them.

Having issues with connectivity.

I got the device a week ago and already facing connectivity issues- the device Bluetooth fails to connect to my phone and twice have failed to upload activity. the Online help suggestions are not helpful at all- asks me to refer to the manual which i dont have!

I love it. I use it everyday. I charge it once a weekend but I think I could charge it once every 2 weeks which is a total upgrade from my apple watch that I had to charge every night. I don’t use the sleep app but there’s so many features that I don’t even realize how useful it is!

The watch that does it all!

From backpacking, to running, to working out, this watch does it all. Instead of asking what this watch can do, the better question is what can it NOT do. The battery life is amazing and the GPS capabilities are unmatched. The AMOLED face is super bright even in the direct sunlight. Definitely not a watch that a beginner would need, but an amazing tool for an avid explorer and athlete!
