Disappointed after trying everything

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really tried to like this soundbar. I updated the firmware, changed HDMI cables, even tried it with a different TV — but I'm honestly very disappointed.
At low volume, the voices are not clear. The subwoofer adds a constant booming effect that doesn’t help — it actually makes speech harder to understand. The rear speakers always sound like there’s ocean noise in the background... like I'm standing on a beach. It’s distracting, not immersive.
Are you planning to release a new firmware update?
Or are these issues caused by the hardware, not software?

Great products, great company

I listened high ends sounbars from both LG and Samsung before the aquisition … but this piece of equipment that I have just purchased to accompany one of my 4 TCL QD-miniled TVs (size ranging 50, 55 and 65 inches) just purchased to replace my old OLEDs LG and Qled Samsung, is unbelievable. Just out of the box and connected to my iphone - immediate firmware upgrade, before latest. Then connected to the TCL Home app - latest firmware. Everything from music, movies, enchanting Atmos, no distortion to max 100 volume … great piece of equipment, worths 4 times more in price. Excellent job TCL, my honest appreciation. TVs deserve a separate review, but I take this opportunity still - far better than my Oled LGs - black is bottom of the ocean, brightness is far superior, excellent and unbelievable performance at half price Sony or high end Samsung or LG. Keep the good work, you deserve at least your 2nd place in the world in TVs, hopefully at some time you will become the leader.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great sound and bass and look

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was trying to decide between a couple of different sound bar systems and did my research and final decided to go with this one and boy oh boy I am happy. It looks good in all black the sound in incredible the highs lows and bass. The price point for this system was incredible always.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Poor product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a 55 inch 4K TV and got this soundbar to pair with it and it was a nightmare.
There was a weird vibrating sound coming the subwoofer. It becomes more pronounced during dialogue scenes in a movie.
I googled around and found it could be fixed wife firmware update. I then discover that I could only do the firmware update on the TCL app on iOS only and it wouldn't do it over android.
I downloaded the software and tried using USB to do it and that didn't work.
Eventually the sound minimised but did not go away completely when I changed the HDMI cable I was using for the eARC. I am going to borrow an iPad and try to use it to update the software and see if it will work. I have owned this system for less than a week. I want to exhaust all avenues before I return it to the seller.

A HUGE upgrade to my living room!

The sound is so much better than my TV speakers, and the Dolby Atmos makes movies feel way more exciting. I can hear all the little details and the voices are super clear. The wireless subwoofer gives a really good bass that makes action scenes and music feel more full without being too loud. Setting it up was easy and I didn’t have any problems connecting it to my TV. The sound feels like it’s all around the room and it makes watching movies or playing games way more fun. The design looks nice and doesn’t take up much space. The remote is simple to use and I like that there are different sound settings for movies, music, or shows. Overall I’m really happy with it and it’s made a big difference in my living room.

SOFTWARE REALLY BAD

I am currently facing numerous technical difficulties with my TCL soundbar.
The specific problems I am encountering include:
Audio Distortion: The soundbar is producing audio artifacts that resemble a distant, lagging airplane noise.
Poor Voice Clarity: When the volume is decreased, spoken dialogue and voices become muffled and difficult to understand.
Firmware Discrepancy: While the TCL support page indicates I have the latest firmware version (31.16.30), other users seem to possess version v47.
Setup Challenges: The initial setup of the soundbar was exceptionally difficult and frustrating.
Connectivity Failures: I am unable to connect devices via Bluetooth, and the TV fails to detect the soundbar when connected via the HDMI 1 eARC port.
I urgently require assistance to resolve these issues; otherwise, I will have no choice but to return the product
