[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Comparing to a very similar GE made in Thailand that just died after THIRTY years: Door seems a little flimsy but works fine, turntable a bit smaller but still adequate, turntable drive doesn’t look as robust, power/performance seems better, controls much more sophisticated e.g. you can use the timer while the microwave is being used. Appears to be a very good value for the money.
I would recommend this to a friend!

While I think the one-star rating should really be higher, I never got to use the microwave. It had a shorted out panel inside that caused it to not function properly from the start. I believe this is more of a quality control failure rather than an issue with GE products in general since I've had many of that brand with no problem. Returned it the next day to the retailer and got a different brand from a different retailer simply because that's what I could get immediately.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It's almost identical to our old GE Microwave that we purchased in 2001. Yep, 24 years of continuous use. I hope this one lasts as long.
