I’m not a fan of the childproof lock. I did disable it cos I have no children. I heated up water to try it out and it was hot in 30 seconds. It is lighter than I thought and you will need a stable surface to set it down on or it will slide.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Had a Kenmore for 28 years which I relly liked so wasn't sure I would find one that I liked as well. after reading reviews settled on GE and glad I did.. Heats quickly. Really like the configuation of the shortcuts especially timed heating. you can hit the time and straight down to minutes and down to start SO perfectly aligned that you can practically do it without looking. Just the right size to fit in our "microwave compartment: that is part of our cabinets.Quiet operation. Also, like that it only beeps once when food is done so no aggravating beeps continuing.

Zulay Popper is a Problem

We bought this to replace a larger GE microwave that we had for over seven years that quit. It's a nice size. The first time we went to make popcorn, we git an error. It doesn't like our Zulay popper. As long as we set an actual time, it works fine.

Microwaves fan is very noisy, but works for us due to a in cabinet location. Price and delivery time were primary reasons for purchasing. Second GE unit owned, possibly our last.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for sharing your experience. Please be aware this microwave is designed for use on your countertop. For safe and reliable operation, we recommend a minimum of 3" of air clearance on each side and at the top as well as 1" clearance in the rear.
