Very easy setup - Smart features not needed

We had a Samsung and were very happy with it, but wanted a larger screen tv. This is our first "smart" tv. We don't need extra devices other than dvd player, and really will probably only use the basic features since we have cable. The initial setup was surprisingly quick and easy, including connecting to our home wifi. I spent considerable time reading and experimenting with the Smart Hub and Apps. This was more difficult and a little frustrating, not being familiar with these features. From my initial assessment of these feature, I don't think I will be using them. The internet access is much easier to use on my laptop rather than the tv. If I had connected a mouse or keyboard to the tv, it probably would have been easier. I couldn't view Turner Classic Movies on demand feature. Also, the Pandora app didn't work. I doubt I will use any of the other apps that were already installed. I probably didn't really need a smart tv, just a bigger screen.
The other important feature to me is sound, especially clarity. The sound on this tv is more than adequate.

Wonderful picture quality

This is the best tv we have ever owned . It is a "smart" tv which we have not yet activated. Overall quality of picture, sound is excellent. It has adjustments for just the right viewing. We are on cable system. Experts have told us of Samsungs quality and lack of problems. So far, I am well pleased with this purchase.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color

problem with stand

I recently purchased the 55" Samsung tv and everything is very good about the product except the stand that holds the tv. The problem with the first stand was it was not vertical and leaned back on the stand. I have since received another stand from Samsung and installed it as per instructions and now the tv is vertical on the new stand but it now leans to the left for a 1/4 of an inch and is noticeable when watching the tv.
Pros: Realistic color
Cons: poor stand

Terrific Smart TV

Great picture, nice performance. Things might be a bit more snappy when loading apps but an excellent value and great picture quality. Also, Samsung can dial in to fix any issues on this TV, a nice convenience. When I used this service to set up a county code, it only took minutes, fast and efficient, no wait time.
Pros: Bright display, service, great picture, can hold up in sun light
Cons: slowish loading apps

I am happy with the TV. The only thing i do not like is there was not an instruction book with it.
I do not feel like taking the time to print out over 150 pages or having to going on the TV
and trying to scrolling through every thing.
