Game changer for arthritic cats

These stairs are more on the expensive side but they have been a game changer for my 18 year old cat with arthritis! She pretty much uses stairs to get to any place of height in our house (couch, bed, etc.) and we noticed her having a harder time with the robot, so we decided to splurge. They are easy to install, easy to clean, and just prop right up for cleaning the drawer underneath, and our girl has a much easier time now. Highly recommend!

The stairs are a nice addition to the litter robot and I purchased them because my cat is elderly and has arthritis. Although the litter box itself isn’t too bad to get in and out, I do have the shield which perhaps makes it a tiny bit harder and I just want to make it as easy as possible for her. The stairs are great however maybe a little slippery. I wish the stairs had almost like a rubber pad on it? It did seem a bit slippery the first few times my cat used them. I think she is use to them now. And, perhaps rubber on the bottom of the stars to keep them from sliding side to side on the ground.

Happy cat - happy humans

We bought the Litter Robot on recommendation. After a few days of use, we also bought the stairs for our old cat. He likes to use the it and then watches the cleaning cycle. The app is clearly structured and shows all important information at a glance. We used to have to weigh our cat every week to know if he was losing weight (he hated it), now the LR took over for us and everyone is much more relaxed. The full bag can be easily replaced.

It's functional

The steps are steps, so they function. The design leaves something to be desired. There is a dip between the hook on point and the actual steps that traps litter chronically and my robot has been throwing errors left and right since installing them. Unfortunately I have an elderly cat who needs the steps to use it.

Steps work as designed, not great for my cat

First, if you haeve a choonky boy, and you are wondering if this is big enough for him, it is. I used a hooded extra large litter box previously and always left the door open for him - he's just shy of 20 pounds. He loves the Litter Robot. He uses it twice a day regularly (still have an old litter box because my other cat doesn't use the litter robot as much. The bad part of the steps was that my choonk decided to stand on the steps with 2 paws in the litter throwing all the litter out. Fun times. Removed the steps and he has no issue jumping in and out (honestly probably the most exercise he gets some days). So while the steps work as they should, and would probably be great for kittens or maybe really old cats, any semi normal cat doesn't need them and it saves on the footprint of the litter robot without them.
