They make it easier for my cats to get in and out. Even the tiny one has no problems after getting the steps. He didn't like the climb into the bot and jumped out of it making a mess. Now he takes his time.

Great Accessory

I bought our litter robot about 4-5 months ago...it has taken a while for our 7 cats to use it. We still have 2 regular litter boxes in addition to out "bot". I feel like the cats are using the "bot" more, now that we have steps. I was waiting until I decided we were keeping our "bot" for good.

Ramp design needs improvement

I've been a long time Litter Robot fan and have owned them since 2015. I love the wider opening in the new LR4 so my cat doesn't feel closed in and the quieter motor is fantastic! The challenge with the latest LR4 model is that the fence gets in the way of where my cat likes to urinate. I'm constantly having to clean the bottom of the fence where it meets the litter. I also purchased the step ladder but the way it's designed ensures my cat will track litter onto the steps every time. I've had to do more daily upkeep with the new LR4 compared to my older model. I feel there were some great design features on the original model like how the ladder fit right into where the rubberized step is on the LR rather than having it anchor into the fence. I am speculating that it may be the angle in which they step down onto the ladder that affects how much litter they track. Also, the fence on the new LR4 does not keep the litter inside the compartment. The receptacle could also stand to be bigger. I have an average siz

Ladder

The ladder is good however, when used in conjunction with the cadenza the ladder is and the litter robot 4 is very tight. I could just have “special cats” but they tend to jump out of the box versus using the ladder.
