A Peak Design Bag is for life not just for Christmas

The tough thing about these bags is deciding on the color. I like them all.
As for the bag itself, the quality is so good that it seems like it's going to last a very long time.
I went for the small black one. It'll fit a sunglasses case, a small wallet, a phone, some headphones and a small mirrorless camera with a small lens. That's what I use it for mostly.
I'm starting to use it on film sets too. I can imagine wanting to put my light meter in there as opposed to wearing it on my waist.

Great Compact Carry
on September 21, 2020

This is my second Peak Design bag (first being the Everyday Backpack). I bought it to have a lighter grab and go bag for days I want to carry a camera and a lens, or want to bring my tablet and a few accessories without the hassle of bringing a whole backpack. It's worked great for that as well as a light bag to bring biking. My only complaint would be that I often carry a water bottle with me, and I prefer to keep it outside my bag to avoid accidental spills and to free up interior space. There's not an easy way to attach it, even with the included attach straps (it slips loose easily), so I've been storing it in the bag until I find a carabiner clip that works well. But besides that, I've been very happy with the bag!

Perfect EDC Bag

In the day + age of COVID-19 and overall preparedness, this bag is perfect for me! It has enough size for all my belongings; wallet, hand sanitizer, portable batter pack, charging cables, multi-tool, small flashlight, and much more. And because of how modular it is, I have my DSLR PD clip attached to the side. Easily accessing and holding my camera. I LOVE IT!!! not too big, not too small - Just Right.

V2 is also a good bag.

I have 3L and 10L. It is a little easier to use than V1. However, the front pocket is narrower and harder to use than the V1.
3L is a perfect fit for the combination of Sony α7 series and zoom lens (24-135). If you want to add other lens, use 10L.
It is convenient to store large size lenses and other gadgets.
It is a pity that the same charcoal color as V1 does not exist.

Excellent bag! Very happy w/ it

I love this bag as I wanted a small carry bag that's great for my mirrorless and a lens or two. I took a Star off because w/ an iPad in it, it becomes very tight. Mirrorless camera, two lenses, iPad, sunglasses and two sets of keys feels tight, and getting the iPad in and out isn't real easy. BUT - the fabric is awesome, the Midnight Blue is gorgeous, and the dividers are the best I've used yet. The strap and its adjuster is terrific. I'll use it a lot, and I appreciate its efficiency but it'd be nice if it had just a bit more give to it.

3L Sling Bag
on September 26, 2020

I own more than a few bags including the 6L sling bag. I love the thoughtful design of Peak bags and all complimentary accessories. I was looking for a daily bag that was a bit smaller than my 6L and saw the new 3L. I love the bag! The only way it could be improved upon, that I will admit I was slightly disappointed was missing, is the anchor housing that I could use to attach anything from keys, AirPods, or any other number of things. Most of my other Peak bags have the anchor housing tether built into the bag. Aside from that, this is a perfect bag for everyday carry of a small kit.

Comparison of New and Old 10L
on September 26, 2020

I own both bags. There is a big upgrade on the zippers. The zippers on my first edition failed and PD immediately sent me a replacement no questions asked. That said the new zippers are harder to open. I liked the older zippers even though they are not weatherproof. I also like the front pocket design better on the original 10L. It has more room for expansion and also some useful pockets that are missing on the new model. And the old front pocket is more easy to view contents. The new design pocket requires more effort to find things. I also liked the built in carry system on the old model better. When I had more gear in the front pocket I loosened the straps and with less I tightened them and they stowed away neatly. Immediate availability of the old storage straps also made them easy to deploy. With the new there are detachable straps and more likelihood of losing them. Finally, I like the leather accents on the old system better. This was probably a cost savings change. On the new model, I do like the slightly deeper shape, and the strap is light years better than the original. They are both great bags, but I think the great old is better than the great new. I give the old bag a 4 only because of the uncomfortable strap. I use a domke pad on mine and it helps. The new bag, gets the same rating standing on its own.
