I got this for my husband for his birthday and he loves it , he travels a lot he's in the air guard and he is a tech dork...lol so all his stuff fits in the bag... he tells me every day that he loves his bag....
My husband bought this for me for Christmas. I have tried several different backpacks and after buying a Peak Design strap and Wrist strap, I thought this one would be so much better design. And it is - lots of space for all my favourite things, and the supporting shelf system is a superb piece of design initiative. The exterior is fashionable and doesn't look "blokey" I can carry my full frame and crop frame mirror-less camera bodies and at least two quite large lenses. And it is still not too heavy to carry, the straps are well padded and sit easily thanks to the swivels to allow for custom fitting. There is still space for my filters cases, phone etc. The holders for water bottles are nice and stretchy and fit my double skinned water bottles (very necessary in Australian summers!) I also bought a Capture One that I have on the front backpack strap so that I don't have to put the camera away every time I change positions. Overall, I am thrilled that I have finally found the "ultimate backpack".
I had the V1 of this camera and and loved it - really loved it. Everything worked. After by V1 was stolen along with all of my gear I looked for a replacement, days after I opened my browser I saw that indeed a redesign was available. Upon reading I was sold. An upgrade to the perfect bag....PERFECT!! I love the magnetic shoulder strap retainers, I love the new resizable laptop slot, I love the new iPad compartment and I love the new ‘door' compartments that are accessible through the top compartment of the bag.
It's so convenient to place backup batteries where you need them - up top and to the sides. I no longer lug a heavy DSLR, I now shoot a hyper compact mirrorless which has freed one shelf for my new Mavic Air drone and all of its gear and I'm still lighter than just my DSLR gear. In terms of comfort, I have no complaints. I carry this bag literally everywhere. On my motorbike, mountain bike, hiking trips, rain sleet and snow...sunshine too!! Lol
Beyond functionality, the bag looks fantastic and makes me feel good that it's comprised of recycled materials. What's better? It is a top notch bag, well thought out, fantastic aesthetics and quality. If you're looking for a bag to lug your gear, stop looking. Ya just found it!
I did a ton of internet research before purchasing and I think the bag is exactly as promised. It's stylish, comfortable, flexible and has great internal storage. Highly recommended!
I fit everything that used to be in my old 2 bags (camera gears, laptop, books and stuff) easily. Of course it's heavy but still comfortable since the strap that support the weight is designed so well. Also super sext, super good looking. Love it so much. One nit picking is gonna be the bag is not quite symmetry in both sides. The left and right zippers on my unit is kinda a bit unequal, the one is easily zip in and out, the another is not quite the same. And the maglatch, when lock in place, always lean towards the right side. Not a big deal, but would be great if there is no minor errors. Love the product and hope the PD team will continue to improve all these awesome products.
v1 was already an excellent backpack, but v2 just improves on the little annoyances of the original. The straps are way more comfortable, and the improved zips makes side access even faster. I also love the magnets on the strap, and how cleanly they stow when on a luggage. The laptop compartment is also a huge improvement, the additional dividers on the pockets are a great help in organizing flash drives, and other small things. I also noticed that the black fabric on v2 is less prone to getting dirty than v1. The only thing I miss from v1 is the color of the interior, I loved the mustard color that contrasted well with black. Overall, this backpack is simply the best in its class.
