I use a Small cube inside my SwissGear backpack, which works very well to keep my R8 + two lenses secure, along with a few accessories. One of these lenses is a long zoom, and the other is a compact prime. Nice to keep everything together instead of scattered in a backpack pocket. Just wish it came with an interior velcro pocket that had SD card pockets like the older model; I bought one separately.
I bought this a few months back and have been using it to haul camera gear. I have a small (comparatively) kit and this has enough room for my gear. Three lenses and a Sony camera body. Really high quality and fits well within the Peak Design 45L Travel bag and the Peak Design 25L Outdoor pack. Really nice and flexible for my use. Smedium fits all my stuff well with some room for growth.
I bought this last month to use as kit bag for a setup we use to steam/record kids’ baseball games. The idea was to securely store & protect a Mevo Core camera & lenses, as well as the mounts, batteries, wifi router and cables. I wanted the case to be easy to hand off to other parents/coaches and potentially fit into a larger bag like a backpack or suitcase.
The cube is nearly perfect for this. The padding & dividers are awesome, the waterproof zippers are a nice touch, and the strap that encircles the top edge of the cube is handy.
If I were to change anything I’d want the cube to not taper from top to bottom (makes it feel like things around the edges are snug in the bottom, but looser on top), and I’d want more strap, handles or lash points near the bottom of the outside to better use it standalone.
I’ve attached a camera strap to mine, which is cool you can do, but it carries a little weird. Also put a large carabiner through one of the strap loops to use as a grab handle.
All in though, this cube is legit and does exactly what I purchased it for. Even fits in my (non-PD) backpack.
Photos attached of how I set mine up. I did go to our local Peak Design store will all my stuff to make sure the Smedium would fit everything, and test out how I’d do the dividers. The staff there was awesome and let me play with it - and a few other bags - until I was satisfied.
Compact and Secure: A Solid Fit for the Mini 4 Pro

It's an excellent size for a small kit. I use mine for my Mini 4 Pro drone. Recently figured out how to fit the screened controller inside, though it’s tight. It would be nice if it were slightly taller. The gear feels well-protected, and the loops are a nice touch for attaching carry straps. I mainly use it inside the 7L Outdoor Sling.
