X Large does not have a flat bottom.

I have a 50L duffel with a large V2 camera cube, They are good when I need to grab a bunch of stuff and go - good for road trips and carrying my camera gear in and out of places. But I wanted something I could leave in the trunk of my car, a place safe place to "pocket" my camera(s) and maybe a couple lenses, some cleaning stuff - for when I am just out for a days shooting and I didn't want to bring the duffel. So I bought V2 X-large camera cube, and it drops in nicely in my trunk. BUT - and here is the point of my review - the X large, different from the large, does not have a flat bottom. The bottom is contoured to fit a travel case like a roller pro, whereas the large is a most flat bottom. This is not readily apparent from the website picture or description (I could have guessed maybe). It's not a big deal by the X large camera cube kind of rocks a bit - levels out some when filled - but not the same regular shape as the large.

Great portable and adaptable protection for travel

This year, I decided to change up my personal item carry and use a regular backpack instead of a camera bag but I still needed to protect my camera. Voila! The XS Camera Cube is perfect. It holds my Canon R6 II with either the RF 24-105 f4 or the RF 24-240 attached. My gear is secure while traveling. And I can switch to a smaller, lighter everyday bag for tours without sacrificing camera protection.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Better than a t shirt

I’ve been thinking of getting a camera cube. It certainly beats wrapping my camera, lenses and flash in t shirts😊. But really very useful both for storing gear and with those clips, keeping the bag in place. Overall more secure, safe, convenient and easy to use.

Excellent product and protection

Bought the cube a month ago and it holds a Pentax 67, 35mm and multiple lense and film very well. It's also fits great inside the outdoors backpack.

I purchased the cube to reduce the size of the camera bag I'm using, for travel. It easily fits my camera, lens, and miscellaneous items I need when I travel. The cube easily fits in my backpack and now I have one less carry on when I travel (but I have a very heavy backpack!)

Better and worse then V1

I really like the way the V2 opens, the whole top actually opening up. However, the dimensions are different than the v1 and I can't fit the same items. For the Large, v1 has horizontal main dividers and is tall enough for some of my lenses and bodies to fit upright, while in the v2 the main dividers are vertical and the overall height is just enough shorter that items need to be laid down. If you aren't coming from a v1 and hoping to just get a more convenient, less constricting main zipper opening with the same storage you will be disappointed, but if you are getting your first camera cube, the V2 large is nice.

Perfect addition to Peak Design ecosystem

Bought it ahead of my trip to Iceland to use together with 30L Travel Backpack. It worked very well! I could fit 1 camera (Sony A7) + 3 various lenses + filters and few smaller items, and I had left some space in the backpack. Easy to lock it inside the backpack, and I had no issues using it during my trip. Looking forward for more travels with this Camera Cube
