Love the laptop overall, but have nitpicks...

PROs: So overall, I love the laptop. Coming from an LCD screen, the 3K OLED screen here is incredible. Colors pop, and some wallpapers look absolutely amazing with the deep blacks.
Love the design of the laptop. The "ceraluminum" does seem a bit... "delicate", but the look is very classy and unique. I wish it all over the laptop, and not just the cover. the dark gray also looks great. I was a bit worried about the look, but seeing it in real life, this thing is HANDSOME. Let me also note that this is a very LIGHT laptop. Amazingly light given the power this thing has. Threw it in my existing laptop bag and had to get used to how featherlight it was.
Cons / Nitpicks: So, I have nitpicks in a few areas. Given the price point I think it's very fair to hold this laptop up to the highest level of scrutiny. This will make up most of the review but I want to emphasize that these are NITPICKS. Very small annoyances. I still am very much enjoying my time with the laptop.
Performance / Cooling: Compared to what I came from, I must say that I am a bit disappointed in the performance out of the box. It takes quite a bit longer than my 2020 laptop to boot up or wake up from sleep. Menus seem to have a bit of a lag. The laptop also tends to have glitches when waking up out of sleep. Sometimes certain icons on the taskbar stop responding. Night light will no longer work. Or certain windows will lose functionality. It isn't a huge issue, but I did not have these issues at all on my old computer with older 2020 hardware so it is worth noting. I have had to reboot this computer MUCH more than my last. I've deactivated some ASUS software that has actually helped , but I shouldn't have to do that. My Windows experience definitely isn't as smooth as it should be for a laptop this price.
Also, you probably will see this mentioned in most reviews of this computer, and I can confirm. This thing runs HOT!!!! I don't find it feasible at all to sit this raw on your lap at all. Even if you arent doing anything very intensive, it still very quickly heats up. Couple that with the fact that the vents are directly on the bottom of the computer (a trade-off given the width?), and there isnt much "lap" in this laptop. Also, since the vents on the bottom, they very easily get blocked if you have it sitting on a couch or a bed. My last computer only had vents on the sides so this was new.
Final nitpick, the keyboard, while great to type on, is just way too bright at it's lower settings. It's so bright that it almost comes off as "cheap". I would have loved to have seen more variance in brightness in such a premium computer. I wouldn't have even minded a full RGB keyboard.

This was an unplanned purchased. My previous laptop (Dell XPS) was great and lasted about 4 years. The screen got these dark spots so I had to quickly purchase a new laptop. I really like the design, the sleek profile, the lightness, the feel of the keyboard, the OLED screen, and the specs. Overall, not many complaints. Lately, the WiFi connection is spotty and on a couple of boot ups, it has acted funny (doesnt fully boot up, keyboard lights up and dims randomly). I have owned this laptop less than a month. I owned the Dell XPS for 4 years and never experienced these funny oddities.

This is an excellent computer. It is light, powerful, the screen is stunningly beautiful, the sound is the best I have ever had on a laptop, it has all the ports you could need, excellent battery life, and is sturdy.

Very happy with the 16" size and 3K screen with 16:10 display. Much easier to use split page and view documents side by side. The keyboard typing is very good, and the lighted keyboard can be very bright if needed. Getting ready to try my photo editing to see how that will work.

These AMD Ryzen 9 HX chips are great. This laptop thankfully can take full advantage of the next gen silicone. I don't really have anything negative to say about this machine.

I really do like this laptop and it fills a niche that I have needed for a while. A thin and light for travel that is not horrible for performance. I seriously debated getting one of the arm laptops but with the release of the amd 300 processor line it was close enough on battery and better performance. Now when it comes to the laptop itself it is stunning, asus have out done themselves there (though I wish the 370 came in the white). The screen is one of the best I have seen in awhile. I was doing the setup with my lg c4 behind it and it felt just as good. Unfortunately this laptop seems to not have been fully backed before entering the market. My first unit blue screened on the very first boot and only got worse as I tried to fix it. The second was more stable but has odd ssd issues, including a problem where it will not see drives beyond 2TB. I have never seen this behavior before and I can't shake the feeling that the bios is just not quite finished. As it stands I am going to hang onto it and see if a future patch can resolve some of these problems but as it stands now I would not recommend it.

We've only had the laptop for a couple weeks, but so far we have loved it. We were surprised with how thin and light it is. Screen is beautiful and keyboard and trackpad is fantastic. Looking forward to using more of the features. I wish that it had another USB-C port on the right-hand side vs the USB-A. I just don't have a need for a USB-A port very often anymore. Other than that, we are quite happy.
