I wish there weren't as many issues

I bought this system and 2 additional cameras a year ago and set them up awhile ago and it was kind of hard to connect the whole system to the internet. The videos weren't as helpful but I still was able to finish the system. More issues include the cameras not being able to reach their routers, the system slowing down my home wifi which is unusual because it's at&t. If the wireless boxes for the cameras were on the wifi would slow down dramatically and when the wireless boxes were off the wifi returned to a fast speed. Then comes the video quality, it's not the best but it's something. It gets worse at night because the video becomes really blurry and it's always slow. Look, I would really appreciate some of my money back to upgrade this system and return the current one in use(which is this one) because it fails to provide evidence about our pesky neighbors and their acts of crime.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great system!

My husband and I researched for weeks and finally bought this in January 2016. We found it to be the best product for the money. We liked the easy installation and the night vision feature. Within a few days of setting up one of the cameras stopped working but the problem was resolved easily. It was easy to contact support and after walking me through a few steps, it was determined I needed a camera replaced. I sent the defective camera back and within days we received a new replacement. No problems since. Daniella was very helpful and kept us informed. I especially like being able to view using my I-Pad and ClearVu. The only negative issue is it slows down out internet connection;so usually turn the DVR off when we are home.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Easy to Setup

When I bought this product, I was skeptical about being able to set it up, but the skepticism was soon replaced with optimism. It was a breeze to set up, and issues I had with a possible shorted cable and night vision on one camera were quickly resolved by Defender's Support Team.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Very happy with this P/N 21317. Very Nice Quality, Nice having the Cameras with a Metal Housing ect...Great Picture Quality, Highly recommend this Camera/ DVR setup.

WOW...What a Great System

A few months ago, I purchased a two camer system and installed it myself. It was a piece of cake. Last week the two additional cameras I ordered arrived. I installed them in about an hour. It took that long as I had to drill the camera mounting holes on concrete block! Otherwise it would have taken less than 1/2 an hour. I highly recommend Defender to anyone interested in buying a wireless security system.

Nice System

Added this to the 6 camera set up. Solid, heavy duty construction. Cameras look like they'll hold up well to the environment. Some difficulty with set up as none of the instructions mention that it's required to add the port# at the end of the IP address to gain access. Also, default user name and PW to gain access to the DVR menu was not immediately apparent causing additional hair pulling. Called customer support and immediately got through to Michel who had me set up in under 20min, including remote viewing through my phone. Thanks Michel!
Overall, very happy so far........just a little less hair. It'll grow back:)

This is my second system from defender.
great system.
easy to hook up and set up.
I had it all done in 30 minutes. including being able to view on my phone..
