Faulty product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This microwave came with the new home we bought at the end of Jan, 2025. It was faulty at the beginning. Sometimes it doesn't heat up the food. I am in contact with the builder KB Home and Whirlpool to ask for a replacement. But so far, my request has been denied. They only offered the repair under warranty. We bought a new microwave, not a repaired one. It didn't work properly on day one. We have the right to ask for a replacement or refund. But neither the builder nor Whirlpool seems to understand our point.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am still getting adjusted to this microwave. My main complaint is that the alarm ring is too soft. As well as the timer alarm. It's hard to hear. I have been carrying a second timer on me. The light really does not need 3 levels, high and low is sufficient.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Microwave for the Price

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had this microwave for a few weeks, and it has been great! I had replaced a 10 year old Whirlpool unit, and this current one is a bit quieter and more efficient than the last. The fan works well with the three speeds when I’m cooking only range top. The popcorn sensor is surprisingly accurate; not many kernels left in the bag. The fingerprint resistant finish looks great and is a noticeable improvement to me from the old unit.
I would recommend this to a friend!

When we started looking for a new microwave we knew it had to be a Whirlpool since their products are dependable, well designed and affordable. I am extremely impressed with all the features and functionality.

Looks nice, unsure about cleaning inside *too new"

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this this 1/11/25 and it was delivered and installed 1/18/25 (minus an instruction booklet an issue for me) It is not easy to operate esp without instructions. Not accustomed to having to having to push stop when I remove the reheated/cooked item Terrible time trying to set the sound on the timer(still too low) and it does not let you know when it is done unless you are right in front of it.

Cruel joke - I would have picked a different model

- LED is too bright with no adjustment
- The scrolling messages are the absolute worst. It's like if 1/3 of your phone screen was taken up by tutorials where you can only ever see 8 letters at a time and you can never turn them off. Completely annoying and distracting. When you do care what it's saying, you have to 1) first set the scroll speed for your reading ability, and 2) wait around while it finishes displaying the message
- Too many sounds after cooking
- Annoying reminders after cooking
- Turning 'sounds' to 'off' only disables input sound, not completion sound or annoying reminders
- Turning 'clock display' to 'off' has no effect and does not turn the clock display off
- Makes horrible clunky noises while running like a car shifting gears
- The entire front being glass means it always looks dirty, unless you clean it literally every time you touch it
- After cooking, opening the door, closing it - the clock does not return, you get a scrolling message about how to start the timer again. You have to press 'Cancel' after every. single. use.
- Buttons 1-3 begin cooking, while buttons 4-9 give you a message to 'press cook time'. The 1/2/3 minute options are a poor tradeoff for now also needing to press a button before each use
+ Cooks food
I'm stunned that this product made it to market.
