I bought the HP Envy Desktop last week and it is a great disappointment. I installed a 2TB hard drive from my old computer in to the HP and then I tried to boot up from my old hard drive but your BIOS wouldn't allow me to do that. Now I have to manually move all my old programs to the Envy and unfortunately, I keep getting error messages that my old software is not compatible with the Envy software.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

So far so good. I originally bought this for the 16 GB memory which will be used to the full extent. I found the Envy needs an HTML cord to operate the monitor so your old monitor won't work. I do like the cordless mouse and keyboard. Having a smaller tower is a plus. I only installed my new computer and monitor today so I need more time to say for sure.
