It's a solid performer for the money and the small SSD drive for the OS makes startup and apps pretty snappy. But you can tell where corners were cut to meet a price point. Slats on the front can make a high-frequency rattle - push on them a little and they'll stop for a while. The usb ports on the back aren't usb3 - those are on the front, so my big external drives have to be connected in the front which is a little annoying. DVD writer is a little chintzy feeling. Relatively quiet other than when the hard disk puts itself in and out of park.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Powerful enough to handle today’s games, smooth sailing through daily activities. Easy setup, exactly what I expect from hp.
knew it was a little short of memory for the games I play when I ordered it that is why I had 32G of gaming ram waiting when it arrived. now that it has that it is really fast and for a good price.
