This review is specifically about the machine. Nespresso has been wonderful in their customer service, but I still had a terrible experience with my Vertuo Next. I bought this on Black Friday after MONTHS of waiting. It worked flawlessly for about a month and a half, then had to get it replaced after it stopped brewing mid-January. Today it's mid-February and the new one stopped working - they're replacing with a Vertuo instead.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

leaking, stained cabinets

Enjoyed the brew for 40 days (just passed 30 day return policy), when it doesn't pour water out the side and over fill the cup, dripping coffee down to the floor. Permanent cabinet stain and wet mess.
Yeah, bummer...
Went to web site and tried factory reset to prevent overfilling. Didn't work.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Terrible machine

I bought this for my daughter for Christmas against my better judgment after reading the reviews. The first one wouldn't brew coffee after the first cup. It is supposed to connect to your phone so you can troubleshoot any issues but it lost the connection immediately and just said no machine found. I returned it and bought a second one figuring we couldn't get two bad ones in a row. Was I ever wrong!! The second one lasted two days before the issues started. It had a blue light on top and wouldn't brew coffee. (there is no mention of a blue light in the manual). My daughter called the help line and after requesting that she perform a long series of button pressing and unplugging it brewed a single cup of coffee. The response from Nespresso was that she was "all set". They told her the blue light was either a chip malfunction or condensation in the machine (even though she had only made two cups of coffee at that point). It has required at least one reset every day to get a cup of coffee and many days it just won't work at all. And like the previous machine, it will not connect to her phone when it is having an issue. She has made several calls to Nespresso with no real offers to correct the issue. And yesterday she discovered it has been leaking and ruined the top of her coffee stand. We have a Vertuo Plus and love it so I have ordered one for her. Believe the reviews you see and stay away from this machine!

Doesn't last more than a year

I descaled this machine as recommended once every 3 months and took good care of it. Worked fine for the first half year then would refuse to make coffee and blink orange and would not go away until I cleaned it. Once this issue started happening every few weeks I called their customer support. The support tech was great and we troubleshooted that the laser was the issue and I got sent a Vertuo Black machine instead. Hoping that works better. Coffee tastes fantastic, but don't get this type of machine, get one of the others.

Love it when it works

I bought this machine Aug 31st 2021 and descaled it in late December when I was prompted. A random Friday in February it stopped working. I tried everything and even video chatted with nespresso. They’re sending me a new one because it won’t work. The customer service is great but this machine did not last long. The coffee is absolutely delicious. It is a little challenging doing maintenance on it since there’s one one button.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Constant Problems

This is the first negative review I’ve ever written, and it’s well earned. The machine worked fine for about three months, then the dreaded blinking orange light started happening. No matter what I do to fix the problem, the orange light starts again - usually after only two or three cups. I bought this thing to be able to quickly get a cup of decent coffee. I can’t get a cup of coffee, but I do get a heaping pile of frustration. It would be quicker to get in the car and go to a coffee shop.

Cost/Space/Quality Balance

This fits perfectly within my near-zero kitchen countertop space (NY Apt). Not so costly to feel bad if I upgraded the unit when I eventually move. And the espresso/coffee is good, strong, to my taste. I wanted to cut out spending so much per cup at the nearby cafes, so spending a lot on a higher end at-home unit would have just transferred the cost. For now this is a perfect fit.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Small profile machine that does the job

My husband was skeptical and now uses this device daily. It is easy, quick and performs as it should for coffee. The rating on this device could be a five but for the Bluetooth connection that does not work. It would be better if Nespresso eliminated it and lowered the price! Then the machine would win a straight Five Star rating!
