Disapointed

Been a Nespresso customer for years, have always loved the coffee and their machines. However the same can not be said for this particular machine; while aesthetically it is a good-looking unit it does not function reliably enough. Every time we make coffee there is at best a 50% chance it will get an error (flashing orange lights) leading us to have to unplug and replug until it clears. Avoid this unit and look at some of their more reliable models.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

A nightmare!

I wanted to make the switch from the original capsules (which l have been using for 18 years) to the vertuo capsules. This Next machine has been a nightmare from day one! It is incredibly inconsistent, is a pain to open and close, takes far too long to brew (which means your milk foam turns to soup by the time the coffee is actually ready), sometimes the capsules fly across the room causing a huge mess. The list just goes on really. Cannot wait to to get rid of this machine! I am going to give the Plus a try since it appears to be more user-friendly and reliable.

Leakage issues

I bought the first Vertuo Next at the end of November 2021. It worked great initially and makes great coffee and espresso (thus the one star). Then it started to leak. First a little bit, then it got worse. Contacted Nespresso and after trouble shooting, they send out a replacement. Received the replacement at the end of December. The bluetooth functionality wasn't working right and it wouldn't detect the machine or accept the WiFi password, but at least it brewed coffee ... until after about a week or so we noticed the replacement also was leaking and the water was pooling underneath the machine. I am still waiting on my second replacement, which they are sending me the Evoluo model. Here's hoping that this one will work as advertised. While the coffee and espresso are really good, the rest of the Nespresso experience has been a disaster so far ...

Wanted it to work so bad

I got this as a Christmas gift last year. It was working great until about three month in, it started leaking from the bottom and top. Water was pooling under the machine, so I descaled it hoping that would fix it. It did not fix it, so Nespresso sent me a "new" (refurbished) machine to replace mine. I used the "new" machine for about a month or two and the same thing started happening. I have been buying filtered water to use in the machine, since I have hard water out of my faucet. I love the coffee, but I am frustrated that I haven't even got to use my Nespresso for a year without having problems. Maybe it's this specific model that leaks? My best friend has the Vertuo Plus and she has never had any of these problems. She has had hers for about 4 years.

Really Frustrating

First they get you hooked, then the machine breaks. So frustrating. Leaked from the bottom and stained my granite countertops.
Worked great for 3 months, but has been nothing but a hassle since.

I wish I liked this machine

I was excited about the Next as I could do carafes of coffee as well as espresso. The coffee was not very hot and the cream sub-par. I talked to customer service, they agreed to send a new one. They were helpful. The 2nd one was even worse as warning lights were blinking after 2 weeks of ownership. I just want a really good cup of coffee. Sent the 2nd one back. So tired of the hassle.

Disappointing

I wanted this machine SO BAD, I received as a Christmas gift from my MIL and I could not wait to get home and set it up! I ran the rinse cycle like the instructions say and the next morning I found a giant puddle under the unit....? Ok.. I sort of ignored it thinking I did something wrong. I proceeded to make my coffees for a couple days and what do you know... about two days later, another giant puddle under the unit. I picked up the machine and tipped it a bit to take a look and water came gushing out of the bottom crevasses??? I came on here and read some reviews and many are saying the same. I returned and got a Keurig Elite instead. Our keurig classic is still going strong after probably 7 years.

Doesn’t last a year

Made great coffee until it just decided to stop working. We clean and descale this machine on their recommended schedule. Just decided to stop working. This specific machine needs to be pulled from the market based on many other similar experiences as my own.
