Very buggy

Sure the coffee’s good… when it works. finally chucking this after a year of struggling with leaks, pods not reading, etc. utter garbage machine

Don’t buy this machine-

We are on our second one, the first stopped working under warranty and they replaced it. Now a year later this machine will not brew two cups of coffee without having to be ran a cleaning cycle in between. We always run a cleaning cycle at least weekly but now the wife and I can’t even have coffee together- they truly should stop selling this machine or offer a longer warranty. It has us looking at leaving the brand since we now have trust issues.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We recommend running a priming cycle through your machine once a week your machine to assist with keeping the taste, texture, body and aroma in each brew. We also recommend descaling your machine every three months or 300 capsules, whichever comes first. I think this machine is programmed to break down after warranty… mine went down the 2nd day after passing the 2 year warranty. I cleaned it, restarted it, did all research I could.. whether it making coffee or not depends on the mood of the machine.

Good Coffee, poor machine quality

I've had 3 of these now and the 3rd one's the charm. Both others start out great and within 3 months start leaking. The coffee is great, but the machine fails. I tried calling customer support. I would have like them to just replace it, but they want you to send it in to fix. It's easier just to return and try again. At least that's what I thought the first time. Then it happened again. Looked online and it seems to be a pretty common issue with this model. Tried again a third time. And it seems to be holding up, 9 mos now. But it does leak on the carafe pods and when I do the cleaning cycle? Ugh.

Died after a couple months of light use

Very disappointed in this machine and I do not recommend it. I have used other Nespresso machines that have been outstanding, I have owned the Creatista since 2017 and the Evoluo since 2020 and they still work perfectly, but this one has been a huge disappointment. We got it in September of 2022 and it was dead before Christmas, completely dead, no power to the machine at all. We didn't even use it very often, once every few days maybe. We have tried a different outlet (still would not power on) and tried the troubleshooting steps but when it won't power on at ALL there are no troubleshooting steps to try. No lights come on, no sound, nothing happens at all. When it died I started to research the problem online to try and fix it myself and if you search the internet for Vertuo Next not working no power at all you will find TONS of sites where people complain about this model. I did do a chat here on the Nespresso site and they say they are sending me a new Vertuo Next but I have absolutely no optimism about that since so many of the stories that I have read so far mention that the replacements quickly died, and then the replacements for the replacement also die within months. I strongly urge you to explore a different model or brand, this one is not good and Nespresso KNOWS it.

Significant downgrade from VirtuoPlus

I previously owned the VertuoPlus until it gave out after 2 years. I thought getting the Vertuo Next was going to be the next step up. Wrong. It's a significant downgrade from the VirtuoPlus. Some of the inconveniences this model has compared to the Plus include: 1) The space between cup shelf and the nozzle is smaller, so now my larger mugs won't fit. Taking the holder off and putting the cup on the counter isn't a help, as the coffee nozzle is too close to the machine and drips it down the side of the larger mug 2) The water tank is significantly smaller 3) Machine feels cheap and rickety, and always feels like its one lid close away from falling apart. 4) The pods drop into a much smaller holder 5) The holder of the empty pods is disgusting. It is virtually impossible to dump it out without getting coffee grounds or black liquid everywhere. Whoever designed it clearly never tried emptying it before putting it on the market. Overall this model looks sleek, but is a significant step backward for a company we have loved for years. We have heard very similar complaints from 2 other friends who also purchased this model.

Disappointed

We got our first machine as a wedding shower gift. After 8 months the machine died. They sent us a new one and less than 2 months later this one is also dead. I am so disappointed as I had one of the older machines and it was amazing!!! But these newer models don't last. It doesn't make sense to me.

Horrible!

This machine is horrible. Nonstop issues with the blinking orange light no matter how much I cleaned, descaled or even used distilled water. 2nd Nespresso machine and I am so bummed I switched to this one... Such a disappointment and only lasted 1 year.
