It would be a nice machine if it worked properly. The first one we had broke in 6 months so they sent us a refurbished one that again lasted less than a year before it stopped working. They now sent us a brand new one and a different version. Hopefully the new one stays working.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Terrible... machine has broke on me 3 times.

I have now had 3 machines of this model that all have broken within the first month of use. Nespresso first sent me two brand new machines and they both broke in the same way. With the third machine they tried to fix it and when I have received it back it immediately started having the same issue which leads me to believe it was not fixed. I have many friends who own other versions of Nespresso's machines and they all work great! I do love their coffee but would recommend purchasing another version of their machines.

Most of our machines have at least a one-year warranty and a lifetime of troubleshooting via our toll-free number. We offer repair and replacement through our Assistance Service Program. We recommend calling our Machine Expert, who I’m sure can offer other options that work for you. We are available 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.

Buy a different machine!!!

Loved the coffee when it worked. But now the machine leaks really bad from the top, down the sides, and out the bottom. Right now mine is overflowing a 12oz mug unless I push the button to manually stop. Light on top is constant flashing orange and cannot do anything, even clean, descale, or reset functions don't work! Check reddit/nespresso for the multitude of comments about how bad this particular machine is.

Buy The VertuoPlus - The Next Won't Last

This model is Nespresso's failure. Please read the reviews. Mine failed right after warranty expired. Unfortunately longer than most. Called Nespresso. They offered a 35% discount for the online store. Since the model I wanted was already discounted Nespresso would not take the additional 35% off. I found the model I wanted on sale in a retail store for a much better price (close to the Nespresso discounted price and 35% less!) with the milk frother included. I my opinion Nespresso should have honored the discount. Considering the price of pods the financial hit will be on them.

Constantly stops working

My parents have a Nespresso machine for over 10 years that I love, so when I moved out I had to get one and since theirs was getting older they figured they’d see how mine works and decide if they should buy a new one. I am highly disappointed with this machine.. I’ve had the machine for about a year and I constantly have issues with it. At first it was small issues (like not pouring the right amount of coffee or not working once & a while), so I let it go, but now it’s constant.. I have to do a complete clean of my machine EVERY TIME I want a coffee so it’s takes about 10 minutes to make a coffee.. I thought it needed a deep clean so I order the descaling kit and used that, but I am still having the same issue… it shouldn’t be this complicated and frustrating to make a coffee. It’s extremely frustrating when you have people over and it takes an hour to make just a few coffees.. Don’t recommend this machine & currently debating if I need to find a new brand.

Worst model ever

I purchased this machine over 2 years ago and have gone through 3 of them and they have all broken. Over time they start to leak and then it breaks their motor. Customer service is amazing, I will say that. Evey time my machine has broke they send me a brand new one. My 3rd one is now taking a turn for the worst and I will be getting a different machine. 10/10 do not recomend this model

Works great until it doesn’t

Like other reviews have mentioned, it works great until it doesn’t. I first received this 2 years ago as a gift, and since then I have gone through 2 more replacements. Customer service was awesome about it! I just wish the machine didn’t quit giving out on me.
I would recommend this to a friend!

However, we are thrilled to learn you were able to speak to a Machine Expert, and your Vertuo Next has been replaced with a VertuoPlus. We recommend running a priming cycle once a week through your machine, to assist with keeping the taste, texture, body and aroma in each brew. We also recommend descaling your machine every three months or 300 capsules, whichever comes first.
