Beautiful, but faulty machine

I purchased my Vertuo Next in August but had sporadic use for the first few months of the machine due to my inability to access preferred pods. However, my first impressions of the machine were initially positive. It made delicious coffee and the machine was beautiful, a little noisy, but beautiful!
However, one night when putting away a mug I had noticed water everywhere on my coffee bar. The water was leaking from the side and bottom crevices of the machine. After my phone call with Nespresso they were kind enough to send me a replacement machine that wasn't a Next.
While I understand the Vertuo Next is an absolutely beautiful machine (I adored my rose gold!) It is absolutely fragile. And it seems like 9/10 these machines are faulty. Nearly every person I had read who'd received a replacement Next, that new machine would leak as well.
Very disappointing, hopefully this will be addressed by Nespresso in the future.

Awful!

Like so many others my machine worked for about 3 weeks and then it started acting weird. I had the blinking light and then I went to make a cup of coffee and it drained the entire tank of water. Called Nespresso and they walked me through a factory reset(which I already had previously done)but it still had the same problems. Unfortunately this machine is not ready for prime time. Such a shame because it’s a beautiful machine that made wonderful tasting coffee when it worked. I exchanged it for the Vertuo Plus, so far it’s working beautifully.

Leakage problem

The machine is not very well built. The one touch button seems cool at first until you realize that you can't do much if your machine messes up. The problem is not with the coffee. The coffee tastes great when the machine actually works but there is so many problems with the machine. For starters, the machine leaks a lot of water when it is used. Second, the machine doesn't dispense the correct amount of liquid it should dispense. Third, no matter how many times you clean or descale your machine it will not solve the problems. Lastly, the single button feature is not intuitive. The instructions are very complicated and will leave you scratching your head and watching countless Youtube videos. I gave my review two stars because the coffee was good when it was working but that didn't last long. DO NOT buy this machine.

We recommend a factory reset for your machine to dispense the correct amount of water through each of the different capsules. You’ll open the head of the machine and release any used capsule. Your machine must be on with a steady light. Close the head of the machine and leave the lever in the unlocked position, facing forward. Push the button 5 times within 3 seconds. The button will blink orange 5 times and return to a steady white light. Please call us at your convenience to address your machine issues.

3 Machines in 18 months

There is a definite design flaw with this machine. It soon becomes difficult to close because of sludge buildup. Then, it starts leaking from a screw hole on the bottom. I am hoping the newest replacement of another model works far better.

Flawed design preventing great coffee

Received as a Christmas present from my wife. We made about 10 different coffee samples over 2 days and we're loving it... The machine basically died at that point, and after countless hours attempting reset and cleaning procedures, the only way to get it to even make a noise was to unplug for 30 minutes and replug, which would then end up spewing random amounts of water. After reading reviews on 4 different large retail sites, it's clear the " Vertuo Next" models are defective. Both the DeLonghi and Breville seem to have the same issues. Nespresso must be scrambling to do damage control as this is tarnishing the Vertuo line.

Do NOT Buy

I don’t know how Nespresso continues to sell this machine. The design is completely faulty and riddled with flaws. We have had to have our machine replaced twice now within 4 months of owning it. Each machine “dies” in the same exact way. It works perfect for a few weeks, then the water stops heating up to an appropriate temperature for brewing, then finally one day the button up top just stops working. No amount of troubleshooting will work & Nespresso doesn’t seem to have any idea what is causing the issue. So they send you a replacement and the same pattern continues. If you like the gamble of a 50/50 chance your coffee machine will work that day, go for it… otherwise, please do not buy!! I should’ve read more reviews before purchasing because it appears multiple people have the same problem.

Stopped working correctly after 3 days use

I received the Vertuo Next as a Christmas gift. It is my first Nespresso as I was a decade long Keurig user. The first couple of days after we set it up, it worked great. On about day 3, it started brewing incorrect amounts of coffee: 15 oz for a 7.7 oz coffee capsule, 7.7 oz for a 2.7 oz espresso capsule, etc. It also seems that the button stopped working as well. I would press it and it would start up and then stop. Repeated pressings of the button yielded the same thing. I likened it to trying to start up a lawn mower or pressure washer when you pull the string over and over and it doesn't start. I contacted customer support and they walked us through a "factory reset" and then a full cleaning cycle (took about 7 minutes) and then it worked for the next couple of capsules. After that, the same issues started again. I am incredibly disappointed in this as I had been so excited to finally try out Nespresso. From many reviews I have read on here and also on Reddit, it seems that the Plus is the better model to go with given the issues with the Next model.

Broke after five brews.

I’m sorry I used my savings on this machine. It broke the second week I had it. I am relying on my six year old Keurig to continue with my coffee. I had it replaced and the second one is failing after just three weeks.
