Buy a Vertuo or VertuoPlus, this is garbage.

We love our Nespresso machines! We have had one since the beginning, starting with Evoluo, when that wore out, we went to a Vertuo, followed by a VertuoPlus Deluxe, and now Vertuo Next Deluxe Rich, always been more than satisfied prior to the Vertuo Next Deluxe Rich. I would give 0 if I could. The quality of this machine is trash. The first Vertuo Next Deluxe Rich last just 6 days made a cup of coffee, and the next cup was electrically dead, no reason no error code. The unit was replaced by customer service with another Vertuo Next Deluxe Rich, which lasted less than a month before throwing error lights and refusing to work, again customer service replaced the unit with another Vertuo Next Deluxe Rich, we have had it two weeks and half the time it doesn't brew the full cup size, we are waiting to see what happens. When it fails do to issues or age, we will go back to a Vertuo, or VertuoPlus Deluxe. For us our experience with Customer Service has been very good, we love the coffee and buy often. Our electric grid is very stable and reliable, we use softened, reverse osmosis water, so our electric and water should not be an issue, we still have a dinosaur Mr. Coffee machine as an emergency backup. One request for future designs, lose the software button pushing sequence to clean and descale the machine and just add a separate button, I’m and old engineer and to design and add it is nothing, yes it add to production cost, but that can be built into the retail price, giving your customer a better experience.

*Horrible Machine

*Horrible Machine will rob your morning joy. Best tasting "home coffee", but the Vertuo Next machine is so problematic. This taste better than Kuerig and helped me to stop Starbucks in the busy mornings. But troubleshooting is beyond aggravating because it's not consistent with the directions. I won't purchase nother Vertuo Next.

Broken, faulty, and messy

I was gifted this from my husband Feb 2021. It was constantly plagued by the orange blinking light and water coming out of the bottom of the machine. Seems to be a very common issue with this line of machines. I cleaned the unit weekly and after descaling (what an arduous process!) one time, I had more issues. I spent 10 or so hours troubleshooting and disassembling the machine (it was out of warranty) to see if there were any obvious signs of fault. The overflow had backed up. I cleaned it out and still orange blinky button. The machine could go through a cleaning cycle but not read a pod to brew.
Stay far away from this particular line. Also, the entire bottom inside the machine was caked in coffee grounds and coffee residue from where it had been leaking. Definitely not safe!!!

I bought this unit and within 4 months died. A replacement was sent that was also defective. I have since switched units.

I’ve gone through two of these machines in the last two years now and suffice to say this is a terrible model. The original very vertuo with the automatic lid worked perfectly at my mom’s, she’s never had an issue and she’s had hers for 4+ years. The first time I had to replace this version was when a waterline broke (I was in the phone with customer service troubleshooting, the machine leaked coffee every time I made a cup). Now the replacement machine they sent can’t make more than one cup of coffee before overheating, and it only makes 1/4 cup with a regular 7 oz pod. I even got the beautiful and pricier copper version of this machine, still works terribly. Do NOT purchase this model. Service via coffee pods / shipping and other Nespresso items are great, so I want to be clear this is not a knock on Nespresso itself but just this model of their vertuo line of machines.

Do not buy.

Lasted just over a year and died. Was out of warranty so its in a landfill now. Not an issue with red or amber light. Started making a very loud squealing noise like the bearings were going. Eventually it froze up and would not spin the pods.

Delicious coffee VERY short lived

Wonderful while it works! The coffee is truly amazing, but I have a keurig that is almost 8 years okd and still works. Its not the best coffee but it does what it was bought to do. My vertuo next was purchased not even 2 years ago and its always been acting strange. It never worked with just one push of the button, the orange light of death was always there even though I ALWAYS use distilled water. About 2 weeks ago it started acting up again for what apparentlu is the last time. I unplugged and plugged, tried to descaled and I wasted several pods trying to get it to work! It just wont! And because its just ONE button there isnt much that can be done. Definitely chose a different model and to Nespresso either issue a recall and fix the issue or remove it from your catalog!

Durability?

Had my machine for just over two years then it took a dump on me. Used it every day, however I’d expect it to last longer than two years.
