Terrible machine, good customer service

I purchased the Vertuo Next in July. It did not heat up the water properly so I returned it for another Vertuo Next machine which I received in September. That machine lasted one month and now will not brew coffee. It will flash orange and flood the capsule container with coffee. Customer service was wonderful and have said they will replace this machine with another line. I told them I do not want the Vertuo Next even though it is the newest line. It simply doesn’t work well.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not happy

Makes a horrible noice whenever I use it, feel like it’s going to burst. Very hard to push the lid down after placing coffee pod. Plus the water lid in the back always falls into the water.

We recommend running a rinse cycle through the machine weekly, as coffee build up can cause the machine to sound louder. We also recommend descaling your machine every three months or 300 capsules, as scale build up can also cause the machine to brew louder. I’ve had this machine for a year and I haven’t had any issues. My family raved about it the whole week of thanksgiving. So much that I bought them all one for Christmas. I hope their machines work properly as I am seeing a lot of negative reviews recently.

Faulty machine

I purchased this machine about 6 months ago. Initially, it worked great, but the open and close function is a little clunky. The machine started overheating and wouldn't make two cups in a row. NOW, it does not work at all. I have a different model at my office that still works like a dream. I would skip this one if I were you.

Great Coffee but the machine never works!

We use this product a lot because we both work from home. We are on our second machine because it seems like this product has a lot of issues. The first one completely stopped working the first 6 months we had it. The second is to the point that I have to go through the "cleaning" process and factory reset for the machine EVERY TIME to brew a pod. It is very frustrating. Will not be getting this machine again.

Great coffee, bad design

Bought for XMAS, and it makes great coffee. After the first few times to empty used canister I noticed the plastic holder has 1/2 inch of old coffee inside. Also, after about a month, the machine makes a load roar when it makes coffee. I talked with a guy at the store and he said the Next had these problems. I wish he told us when he sold us the machine. I get about 7.0 oz of coffee per cup, the other 0.7 goes in the "waste can"

Never got it to work

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had an espresso maker before and I realize they can be alittle more confusing for the inexperienced. But this machine took confusing to a whole new level. The instructions were not helpful to me whatsoever and I found the app to be more for purchasing things. At the end, I never got it to work and I'm done fooling with it.

Please allow us to provide some user tips that may help. When turning on your machine, allow your machine to warm up. The light will begin to pulse slowly for about 30 seconds, indicating the “warm-up” phase. Once the light is steady the machine is ready for use. Insert your Nespresso capsule, and ensure the lever is fully locked. The lever must go past the lock symbol and there should be a slight click sound when fully locked. For best maintenance for your Vertuo Next, we recommend to always eject the used capsule after every use, run the Clean Cycle once a week to eliminate coffee grounds build up within the brew unit, and descale your machine every three months. All removable spare parts, including the water tank, should be washed by hand at least once a week.
