Terrible machine

This machine breaks down in one way or another for most customers within a year. I love Nespresso as a brand but this machine in particular is awful. Skip it for one of their other models!

Good coffee just stops working

I received as a gift last Christmas and I have had nothing but issues with it. When it works it is very good coffee, it is just very difficult to troubleshoot and it constantly needs to be cleaned. The last descale I did with the solution did not work. It still lights up to be descaled and I went over the process several times. The store suggested you tube instructions but my boyfriend and I still can’t get it to work. Very disappointing for a machine I had under a year. Way too complicated just to get a cup of coffee.

Looks Great but Doesn’t Work

I went through 3 (or was it 4?) of these (to Nespresso’s credit, each failed machine was promptly replaced after calling). One lasted about a year, another less than a week…one was only days. I finally asked if I could just buy the original vertuo model instead of getting it replaced yet again. They actually replaced my Next with my preferred model and I’ve been happy. The only reason I purchased a Next in the first place is that my original Vertuo was beginning to sound like a 727 taking off (so loud!), and I liked the design and WiFi feature of Next. Just don’t do it. Stick with the solid original Vertuo model. Nespresso is a great company to work with—don’t go through 3rd party vendors for replacement.

Wish it was a keeper

Received my first machine as a Christmas present and it quit working after 2 weeks of very light usage. Attempted to troubleshoot with customer service and ended up getting a replacement. The replacement machine came and worked for another 2 weeks and I ran into the same problem as before (water leaking under the machine and unable to reset the machine). It's extremely disappointing because I absolutely love the aesthetics of the limited edition of this model and overall size so it's very unfortunate. However, I have to agree with everyone else that the Nespresso customer service is exceptional - very patient and understanding. My replacement machine is a different model so hopefully 3rd time's the charm!

So disappointed in this machine. At first I loved it, but pretty quickly I noticed that the coffee started tasting kind of burnt and my machine started leaking water from the top back. I was told this meant it needed to be descaled (I've used it maybe 30 times) so I bought the Nespresso descaler and went through that process. The descaling seemed fine, but when I did the rinse cycle the water again leaked out of the top. I cleaned it up and emptied & cleaned the reservoir. A few days later I was cleaning the counter and saw that the machine must've continued leaking (I didn't use it again after descaling and the tank was empty) which left a white residue all over my counter. This has stained my counter in the shape of the machine's bottom so now I have a stained counter and a non-working machine.
